One of few acts to appear that I knew of previously, having already had an mp3 of 'Danger' for some time. Both are good songs and on a fairly equal level...

28 ASHTON (BJSC 16) Alex Roots 'Don't Stop Looking' (10 pts)

 

 

In retrospect this probably shouldn't have received quite so many points, but still a good song.

21 ASHTON (BJSC 13) Lorelei Carlson 'Alone' (6 pts)

 

 

Despite not having similar tastes Ashton have always done pretty well for me and still sit comfortably in the top 10 of my voting history. This is their highest appearecne here.

Shockingly i think i'm still yet to award Utopia a single point :o

Ashton definately featuring heavily. Phil has sent some very original and quite epic pop songs, almost all of which have been massively underated.

It's better to be underrated than overrated imo

 

Although it would be nice if some of the amazingness dragged it's ass into the top half of the score board more than 3times in 10 contest. :heehee:

This was a fairly surprising discovery for me given that I didn't think much of her previous entry 'Ice'. Think this is much better, shame it performed worse.

18 OJNOJ (BJSC 20) Cindy Gomez 'Agan and Again' (10 pts)

 

 

I was shocked at how poorly this did. I thought it was great and that it would've finished much higher.

17 ELEDAN (BJSC 11) Lenka 'The Show' (12 pts)

 

 

Another of my 12 pointers... It's a good song but I did tire of it slightly after a while.

Not many people seemed to like this much, but I thought it was excellent. A real understated gem and one of Rontvia's best entries.

15 RIVANDIA (BJSC 15) Chew Lips 'Solo' (10 pts)

 

 

Another entry from Rivandia. A wonderful song which I thought would've (it certainly should've) performed better.

I know I would've heard this loads anyway but I'd never heard it until it was entered and didn't hear it anywhere else for another 6 months so it definitely counts. I would've included 'Just Dance' but I didn't like it at the time and didn't give it any points and its appearence in this did nothing for me liking it...

My most recent 12 pointer, this is easily my favourite of their songs. It should've done as well as 'Magic'. :(

11 KELLYANA'S KINGDOM (BJSC 16) Florence & The Machine 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)' (6 pts)

 

 

I hadn't thought much of Florence until I heard this. Turns out she's alright in the end! Should've probably got more than 6 really.

10 RIVANDIA (BJSC 19) Air France 'Collapsing At Your Doorstep' (12 pts)

 

 

I'd quite liked what I'd heard of Air France but this has ended up being my favourite song of theirs. A rather unique BJSC entry.

09 MKL (BJSC 16) Jessica Jarell 'Armegeddon' (12 pts)

 

 

I reckon this is easily my most surprising 12 points, I know Michael was surprised to receive them anyway. Wonderful song though, I thought it had potential to get on my nerves but it never did...

I may have only given this 6 points but it wasn't long before it spent a week at the top of my personal chart and I've had her picture as my avatar ever since. I have grown to adore her. She has quite a few songs I like more now though, including all three of her entries since.

Well, 16 now.

 

I remember reading about her here and after the description didn't pay much attention to her.
