Sold a further 9,048 copies at number 31 last week.

Come on WB we need some PR now to boast the sales up. 4get Revolver plans it wont do anything just shelf it and release a Platinum Edition or a Box set at least for Xmas.

Neither adverts or price slashing can prevent Celebration's (album) fate of becoming an embarrassing FLOP, indicative of how low Madge's appeal + respect in general pop music culture has sunk, as it continues its free fall down the chart, PLUNGING out of the entire top 40 in this weeks midweeks. Excuses like poor sales (first week/upper album chart sales of the last few weeks made a joke of that and Celebrations 70+k first week which now look weak + pathetic despite its #1 position especially since it lacked much stability at that level of sales and this is clearly demonstrated in the biggest total selling albums of the year chart, as all the increasing number of REALLY big selling albums of the year throw Madge's hits album down that chart to an unremarkable insignificant ranking, especially since it sales increase has died to a trickle now, compared to the remarkable big sellers.

...but OF COURSE Madge always makes a comeback with something popular,creative fresh and new - you only have to see her more recent past material like HARD CANDY + the new material on the Hits album to prove that ( just like 'American Life' took her career to 'another level')..and yes while she clearly doesn't give much of a toss about her music career anymore its just because shes bored of her current deal + just had to fulfil the contract, i mean it hasn't been long since she started making endless cheap budget videos (IF any video AT ALL) for later post album singles releases. Yes she will be so INSPIRED when she makes her first album of her new $$$$$ contract, that she will ditch all the time she spends with her family, boyfriend + on EVER INCREASING non-musical projects like Saving Malawi, Film making, organizing projects for the destitute and so on - to make the most killer quality comeback of an album on a label whose most important lucrative motive/primary set up is to market/sell tours !

I really thought the al;bum would have sold much much more by now, as far as i know it is still a bit away from going platnum, likewise i thought celebration the single would have done better and i felt it left the chart very quickly, still i think the album will still build up a nice few sales between now and end of christmas but it wont be the huge success i thought it would be

The album has been a huge success. Number 1 and now one of the top 40 selling albums of the year.

A 38 place tumble in ireland this week to number 79.

Will she now perform something in X Factor or not? :unsure:

Atleast she's #33 in the mids thanks to the album ads and of course her gmtv interview.

I thought the GMTV interview was crap, there was hardly anything to it and nothing we haven't heard before. It has worked remarkably well as promotion for the album though (along with the increase of TV ad showings) as it's now back in the top 40 today and yesterday afternoon I gave the album a listen for first time in well over a month :P

Thanks to her gmtv appearance the album is up 16 places to #34.

Maybe 25k sales for last week? Hope it has a strong spell on the run to xmas.
