For the first time in a while, there is a return to No.1 this week as Anna Abreu’s power pop anthem Music Everywhere leaps back up a spot for a third week in control after two weeks at No.2…London electro dance artist Fabio Lendrum smashes in at No.2 with Don’t Wait For Me whilst last week’s No.1, Stadt by Cassandra Steen and Adel Tawil, falls two places to No.3…The Veroincas’ 2006 chart topper 4ever makes a triumphant return to the top five this week after a three and a half year hiatus, whilst Alphabeat’s The Spell drops back two places to No.5 this week…Madonna retains control of the album chart for a second week with her hits collection Celebration followed by a new entry at No.2 from Delta Goodrem with her Believe Again: Australian Tour 2009 live album!!! Mika stays at No.3 with The Boy Who Knew Too Much, Colbie Caillat falls to No.4 with Breakthrough and Paloma Faith debuts at No.5 with Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful!!!

Great chart. Shame though that Bad Boys has fallen sooo much. I see you at least liked Palomas album aswell :)

ooo almost a #1 debut for Fabio Lendrum. I really like it now, I think that song being on Semi 2 benifited a lot, since it was by far one of the standouts for me :P Really poor semi overall imo.

 

Didn't expect Alphabeat to fall already :o Oh and you're favourite BJSC entry is so obvious now haha.

 

The Britney song is ok, a tad annoying for me. Expected a lot better from Max Martin... on the other hand, the JLS song is surprisingly really good.

Paloma's album is actually brilliant, I gave it a second listen about an hour ago and it gets better and better

ooo almost a #1 debut for Fabio Lendrum. I really like it now, I think that song being on Semi 2 benifited a lot, since it was by far one of the standouts for me :P Really poor semi overall imo.

 

Didn't expect Alphabeat to fall already :o Oh and you're favourite BJSC entry is so obvious now haha.

 

The Britney song is ok, a tad annoying for me. Expected a lot better from Max Martin... on the other hand, the JLS song is surprisingly really good.

thanks Xylem :D indeed, didn't quite get there because I've had Anna on repeat again this week, but I absolutely love the Fabio song, it was very instant for me, and I'm very glad with the semi it landed in seeing as it stands out of the indie and pop stuff...glad you like it ^_^

 

I'm not sure that The Spell is *quite* up there with Fascination, and even that didn't top my chart...their only #1 for me was 10,000 Nights, which was basically helped to the top because I saw them in concert a few hours before I wrote my chart around the time that that song was being released :drama: Boyfriend got to #2 as well :D

 

I really like the Britney song, it's very repetitive but it got stuck in my head and I keep thinking of it all the time :lol: agree about JLS, they've had some surprisingly decent material so far :o

I know, I saw FM's signature, and thought it was a girl, then heard the song and was like, hang on, I swear this was a girl :lol: I used to listen to loads of male music, but I'm listening to less and less now, I think :unsure:

he's definitely not as good as Calvin, but I find him decent nonetheless, his album was a bit patchy though, although I liked it more than both of Calvin's albums, just Calvin has the better singles, by far :lol:

 

my male/female split is probably something like 35/65...it's going steadily up all the time...in fact in the first week of the year, my entire top 7 albums were all by male acts, which was completely unprecedent for somebody who never really liked any male acts just a few years ago :o
