The Mail On Sunday will this week give away a best-of Robbie Williams CD with unique interactive elements.

The paper’s October 11 edition will include a CD containing 12 of Williams’ biggest hits as well as an exclusive preview of six songs from his new album, Reality Killed the Video Star, released on November 9.

In a unique feature, the Songbook CD will also include Completemyartist software from Music Technology that gives the user access to additional online playlists depending on how much Robbie Williams music he or she has digitally.

Someone with little or no Robbie Williams music on their computer will be able to access an online playlist of more of his best known tracks. A Robbie completist, however, will be able to access a playlist of B sides and rarities.

Other content includes

• Six 30-second clips of tracks from the new album

• An option to pre-order the album

• An option to watch the video and purchase the new single Bodies

• A series of playlists, made up of the music from other artists that influenced the singer.

Music Technology CEO Andy Dean says his company’s software offers “a separate user journey”.

“We believe Completemyartist will really help users take full advantage of the benefits that digital music has to offer,” he adds. “We consider the playlist to be a replacement for the compilation album, and our technology will give users a new and really straightforward way to organise their favourite music collections.”

Tim Clark, co-managing director of ie:music and Williams’ co manager explains, “There is no better way of exploring a great catalogue of songs written and performed by the brilliant master Robbie Williams himself”

Looks like I'll need to buy The Mail for the first time in my life

I like how they are mainly live tracks, well the big ones anyway. Hardly 12 of his greatest hits though since half of them were not singles

Interesting how it says depending on how many Rob songs you have on your computer it will give you access to B-sides etc. How will it do that? Check your hard-drive? Very few of mine are downloaded legally. Alot of ripped from a cd. Very odd

I cant wait to hear the clips though, especially Morning Sun :D

I have heard that song mentioned a lot ...dying to hear it as well...wonder will they include a clip of it at the weekend

Well the whole point of it is to get entice people to buy the album, so I suspect they will put the most normal sounding Rob songs on the previews. Mornig Sun sounds like a great track, Beatles-esq apparently

OMG :o I'm listening to some of Robbies new album

   absolutely amazing, Robbies well and truely back

 also very frustrating because I want to hear it all

Morning Sun

So am I

They dont seem like 30 sec clips do they? Much shorter. I want more

Morning Sun sounds AMAZING

You Know Me and Wont Do That also sound fantastic. Really looking forward to hearing Last Days Of Disco in full, very different part to the cinema advert cllip. Do You mind is rocking Rob back which is great to see. :cheer:

I want that 30 seconds of each song! :(

I agree, they definately don't feel like they are 30 seconds

This album is going to be huge! I love every second of what I have heard so far

You Know Me, Morning Sun, Won't do that OMG    i think it would be very

difficult to pick out a favourite from any of the album.

@ Nada, hopefully it'll all be on youtube soon so everyone can hear.

Which is the second single? Wont Do That or You KNow me? I cannt remember

Morning Sun should be second but all 3 sound great
