I heard Throw It Away in Birthdays once!

haha, does that shop even still exist? wasn't Throw It Away supposed to be the fifth single here? I remember buying the 'True North remix' digitally, it was one of my first ever legal downloads way back in 2004!!! incidentally, one half of True North was Gary Barlow. I doubt that this act still exist now :heehee:

I'm pretty sure he's singing some bits in Never Fades Away.

yeah I can definitely hear his backing vocals, they are very clear

that one is odd considering it was a b-side :o

shame The Riddle never got even a b-side release here...was my favourite b-side of hers...I could honestly fill a double disc CD of great Delta songs that never saw the light of day in the UK :(

Yeah i thought it was too!!

I have done a couple of CD's of Delta's b-sides and other tracks of hers which have never been released here. On the way to doing a 3rd one.

I'd be interested to see a tracklist of these discs Paul, just in case I seem to be missing anything...on the last count I must have over 60 b-sides, non-album tracks, foreign singles, duets, live songs, demos etc...do you know if there is a comprehensive list of all of these anywhere on the internet?

i've only got the b-sides that the were released with the CD singles here and in Australia.

Cd1 is basically all the b-sides from 'I Don't Care' to 'Almost Here'. Including the Oz released singles. Also features Nobody listened, Say, Love, I don't Care, Throw It Away (True North Mix), Four Short Words and I Can Sing A Rainbow.

CD2 features

Lost Without You (US Mix)

On MY Own

If I Forget & the Riddle

Flawed & never Fades away

Duets with Westlife, Tony Bennett, Brian mcFadden (FWW) & Darren Hayes (LWY)

Feel the Earth Move & Are You Gonna Be My Boy)

The next CD will feature all the b-sides from the 'Delta' era as well as the Itunes only released songs which i'm sure you know. PLus duets with LeAnn Rimes & Olivia Newton John. Also Brian And Delta singing 'You Will Only Break My Heart'.

Also 'Days Go By' , I'll Be yours, In My Dreams and Without Words

I have never seen a list of songs anywhere!!

Hope you could follow all that

they play a lot of Mutya in Asda, all of her flops included  can't say I've heard Sanctuary, and I guess they avoid playing Warm This Winter due to the Co-Op connection

Nah, it's too upbeat.

Morrisons only play ballads. It's a retail trick

don't know these four;

Days Go By , I'll Be yours, In My Dreams and Without Words

where are they from? I have all of the others you mentioned as well as; Turn You Away, Say, Love, the Westlife duet, a demo of Extraordinary Day, I Can Sing A Rainbow, an instrumental of Electric Storm, both versions of I Don't Care and the original version of A Year Ago Today from her first DVD

ha, really? Asda play loads of uptempo songs, I'm sure of it! they'll play anything you request too - I got them to play Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone once!

they were demos. They leaked on to the net. Got them from someone on Official forum a while ago. They aren't the best quality though! Would love the DVD version of A Year Ago Today but could never find it.

Yeah, the theory is slow songs make you walk slower and therefore buy more.

demos from what era? I actually ripped it myself from the DVD, but it was a proper (legal) programme so it's high quality 256kbs! I never uploaded it anywhere so don't expect many other people would have it! I'll send you a PM to download it but it's in iTunes format

Thank you

I think they were during the MI era. I will send you links for them.

haha, I generally tend to completely miss the fact that any music's playing when constant ballads are on! Apparently Tesco doesn't play any music whatsoever :o

excellent cheers

also, didn't her voice massively mature between 2000-2003! she sounds extremely odd on the original version of A Year Ago Today

I do like the original as well. Haven't heard that for ages. What a difference from the IE version.

All we need now is Delta to do a few gigs over here. Only ever seen her once and that was At Summer XS gig at nottingham arena just as she was about to release Lost Without You!!!

It gets interrupted with the special offers and that evil annoying piece of $h!t that is Shine with the crappy voice over 'Today, in over 250 morrisons stores we make and prepare more fresh food than any other supermarkets. Morrisons, fresh offers for you' :puke:

We have over 400 stores now :manson:

It's telling that i know it off by heart.

Yeah, Tesco don't play anythin. The big stores have stuff on in the CD/DVD/TV section. Well Dundee Riverside and Dundee Kingsway do. Cupar is too small lol.

I love Shine :arrr: Asda play annoying adverts on loop too but you come to zone it out...anyway, I work on the Music & Video section so get to choose what I play when I'm on the desk - usually I play BJSC songs :kink: or Delta :w00t:

thank you for these - have listened to all of them

Days Go By would have made a decent b-side - really good song, I'll Be Yours was a bit odd for a Delta song - quite cheap sounding R&B/funk production, the other two songs were fairly average
