Posted October 12, 200915 yr Given that it's a foregone conclusion that it *will* be #1, the only question is how many will it sell?
October 12, 200915 yr 150-199k, definitely not as much as Leona's considering last time we had the likes of Woollies and Zavvi around. It probably be just over 150k which she could do the double and its doable in my opinion, not every X Factor performance is going to get an act at #1, coughcherylcough
October 12, 200915 yr I think it'll be big; probably won't beat Leona's total as album sales have declined year on year since 2007 and she's launched with an up-tempo track (as opposed to Leona's ballad/mid-tempo) which traditionally don't sell albums (Gaga, etc) as well as mid-tempo's do. I've gone for 250k-300k. 150-199k, definitely not as much as Leona's considering last time we had the likes of Woollies and Zavvi around. It probably be just over 150k which she could do the double and its doable in my opinion, not every X Factor performance is going to get an act at #1, coughcherylcough Cheryl will be #1 next week unless Alex's 2nd week is big enough to hold on for a 2nd week @ #1 (which it could be with the album being released and the single having the "album" effect (album track charts in top 40, possibly even top 20/top 10).
October 12, 200915 yr I misread this ( i think it was worded differently before) - I thought it was overall sales of her album so I chose the highest number. I think about 190k first week sales.
October 12, 200915 yr Author I seem to be one of the minority who think it'll sell well over 200k. I mean, even the single looks like it's heading towards 200k, or just below... Edited October 12, 200915 yr by vidcapper
October 12, 200915 yr 150k and one of the top 10 sellers of the year I think :) She won't do a Leona, but by no means will her sales be shabby
October 12, 200915 yr 60 million That's about the entire UK population, and "Bad Boys" is such a good song, who wouldn't want a copy of the album?
October 12, 200915 yr 60 million That's about the entire UK population, and "Bad Boys" is such a good song, who wouldn't want a copy of the album? Please be realistic bzf, even if it did sell 60m, it would then drop straight out of the top 75 the next week. Anyway, 100-149k first week and I can't see it, the single or her career lasting very long. I give her three years max. Leona will be around for as long as the X Factor exists, and I reckon she'll even stick around after that.
October 12, 200915 yr Author 60 million That's about the entire UK population, and "Bad Boys" is such a good song, who wouldn't want a copy of the album? Me, for one...
October 12, 200915 yr Me, for one... And me for two. So that's already down to 59.999998 million, bzf!
October 12, 200915 yr I think bigzarafan wasn't being serious at 60mil. Cut him some slack. And me for two. So that's already down to 59.999998 million, bzf! Oh, and me for three. :heehee: Hmm... Edited October 12, 200915 yr by FM11
October 12, 200915 yr Of course I wasn't being serious :kink: You'd probably only need one per household, for a start. And I can only see X Factor viewers buying her single & album. I dunno if I'll want her album or not. Might get it for christmas, so I don't need to pay for it, in case it's rubbish :heehee: So, being realistic, I think she'll sell 153,247 copies in the first week  Have you seen my signature? I don't think anyone should ever fully take me seriously Edited October 12, 200915 yr by bigzarafan
