Saturdays 'would continue as four-piece'

The Saturdays have claimed that they would continue as a four-piece if one of the bandmembers decided to leave.

 

The group, who are on course to debut in the Top 5 with new album Wordshaker on Sunday, ruled out ever getting a new member.

 

"We could never replace somebody as we're so tight together," singer Mollie King told the Daily Star.

 

"I think with us if someone didn't want to do it anymore we'd just stick to being a four."

 

The five-piece recently claimed that Sugababes should change their name following the departure of only original member Keisha Buchanan last month.

 

I think its different though for a 5-piece and a 3-piece group. If Girls Aloud or The Sats lost a member, the absence wouldnt be felt that much compared to the Sugababes losing a member.

They'd be able to cope with losing Roch, Moll or Frankie imo and perhaps Una aswell but losing Vanessa imo would be dreadful for them.

 

I don't think the Sats actually could cope with ANY member going ('cept maybe Frankie?) because their harmonies gel together really well, so I think as a 4-piece, we'd know something was missing. Una and Vanessa leaving The Sats though would be like Nicole Scherzinger leaving the Pussycat Dolls or Nadine leaving Girls Aloud. Completely useless.

They've performed as a 4 before, when Vanessa hurt her leg on tour, Rochelle took her lines for a few songs on one night.

All I can say is.. God help them if Vanessa ever did leave! :lol:

Topics like these really depress me :lol:, stories like this after their second album already! I just can't picture it happening at all. I love them as a group, can't imagine the band without every one of them. I would much prefer them to continue as a 4 piece TBH, it just wouldn't work with a new member. And if a new member was added I don't think any of us would like her very much either LOL but I'd still love them if there was only 4 of them. It just wouldn't be the same if someone new was added and the girls seem really tight, don't see the vulgar Sugababes mess happening with The Sats anytime soon.
