I never thought I'd pitch this but what about a Christmas spin-off?? Just for the BJSC / Christmas enthusiasts around in the immediate run-up to Christmas (I know there probably wouldn't be that many)? The final could be on Christmas eve and nominations / confirmations could open just before or just after the final of XXII. Very low key, just for a bit of fun. I'm pretty sure there would be enough BJSC-friendly, non-cheap Christmas songs out there to have a one off contest.

Exactly, I doubt there would be need for semis. Nominations / confirmations could be combined into one thing if it were done old style (first come first serve, changes allowed).

 

Oh, I would be willing to host if it happened by the way, but I'd not mind if somebody else did it.

I did have an entry in mind for myself but maybe if it were a spin-off I'd give it a bit more thought to try and make up for the Monica embarrassment of last year!
