July 24, 201113 yr Ok so I've given the album a quick listen (skipped some of the songs halfway through as I wasn't 'feeling' them)...my favourite apart from 'Motivation' is 'Feeling Me Right Now'. Apart from that I'm not keen on the album at all. I was expecting to like this version more than the UK one as this was supposedly the more urban-sounding one, no? Oh well. I far prefer 'Lay It on Me' to 'Down For Whatever' too, although both are quite current sounding, so have the potential to do well over here.
July 24, 201113 yr So 'Down for Whatever' is the next UK single then? It's an alright song, but I'm really starting to love 'Lay It On Me' now, so I'm a bit disappointed we're not getting that - hopefully it's at least on the UK edition though. I've just played the album through, and I actually think it's a lot stronger than most people are making it out to be. It's not exactly original, but there are more highlights than low points, and it's better than the clips made it out to be which I am very glad about. Did i miss this???? When was this confirmed/rumoured??
July 24, 201113 yr Not really feeling Down For Whatever :( It's OK but a total OTF rip-off, and it doesn't sound like a 'hit' at all. I'd rather have Lay It On Me, Keep It Between or Turn It Up as what will be her biggest UK hit since Stole (with X-Factor and all).

July 25, 201113 yr To be honest the dance tracks which have leaked are largely generic and nothing to shout about. Make Believe leaked this week - it was touted as a single a little while ago. Turns out it's more faceless crap. The only 'dance' song that's leaked that I've liked is On & On.

July 25, 201113 yr Kelly Rowland has revealed the UK release schedule for her new album. The former Destiny's Child star will release Here I Am in the UK in November and also re-work the record for a European audience. Rowland spoke to That Grape Juice about a possible European version of the record, saying: "I'm actually starting the recording process for the international record - which will be out in November." She added: "I'm going in with different producers too." Rowland also revealed that as well as re-worked versions of tracks, the international release will contain brand new material. She said: "There will be more bonus tracks on the international record; which is exactly what I wanted, because there's some songs that didn't go on to the US version of the album that will go on to the international version." Rowland - who was named as one of the new judges for The X Factor in May - also confirmed that she will be performing live on the show later this year. Digital Spy.

Not because I found the US version disappointing, but so Kelly can have her time in the UK - I hope it's huge for her, as she really deserves it. :D Glad to see she's got a performance slot, too; hopefully they'll get Bey on to perform too. :)

July 26, 201113 yr Purchsed the album from 7 digital this morning.....after two listens i think this album is good but not outstanding!! I think the album is strong in the fact that it does not have a song that i was desperate to skip, the album is also very cohesive in terms of lyrics and style! Lay It On Me is still growing on me at first i had doubt about this single choice! Has the video been shot yet? Down for whatever!!! will do very well in the uk it is classic red one but think its wise to lead with this in the UK. You cant purchase this single either from download sites which means its very likely to be a single in the future. All of the night stood out for me as does Im That Chick which is the most downloaded track off the album disregarding the singles. Be interesting what tracks grow on me as im sure i will listen to this very frequently. I also added forever and a day, grown woman and rose coloured glasses to make the album even better. In reference to Jark's comment i think 'on and on' is only worthy of a b-side track and dont think it should have made the album. The album is certainly better then simply deep, will decide in the future if i prefer it to Ms Kelly!!
July 26, 201113 yr Can't beleive it was rumoured that make beleive was gonna be the lead single a few months ago, its a really boring song that has thankfully not made the album, which i'm currently listening to on spotify and really enjoying, can't wait for the european release though!
