April 28, 201015 yr URGHHH, it's certified 18 in my cinema :( which means i'm not gonna be able to see it in big screen... :snif: i'll buy it on DVD instead which will take forever to wait for  i just hope it lives up to it's '18' certificate
April 29, 201015 yr Does it mean people under 18 can't watch? :o Silly thing at our times imo. Yep, only people above the age of 18 can watch it  I hate the UK Film Board :( I'm still getting this on DVD when it's released
April 30, 201015 yr I'm so pumped to see this film. Seriously. I'm looking forward to it so much. I have a feeling it's actually going to be a decent remake!
April 30, 201015 yr I'm so pumped to see this film. Seriously. I'm looking forward to it so much. I have a feeling it's actually going to be a decent remake! Me too, my most anticipated film of the moment actually. Will probably be up there with Last House On The Left and The Crazies as rare decent remakes I think. ^_^
April 30, 201015 yr I've heard it's pretty crap. Shame. In other news - there's a new DVD coming out called 'Never Sleep Again' which features 8 hours worth of footage from almost all the actors from 1 - 7 and 'FVJ' aswell as other stuff like the making of the original. Heather Langenkamp (Nancy Thompson, 'Nightmare 1') narrated and executive produced it. It looks brilliant AND the cover art pays homage to the original art. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/photosizer/upload/hiresneversleep2040610.jpg
May 1, 201015 yr Me too, my most anticipated film of the moment actually. Will probably be up there with Last House On The Left and The Crazies as rare decent remakes I think. ^_^ I'm losing faith in this tbh. When i see new Freddie I want to LAUGH not cry from terror :(
May 2, 201015 yr Yep, only people above the age of 18 can watch it  I hate the UK Film Board :( I'm still getting this on DVD when it's released  well other countries are the same there has to be classifications!
May 2, 201015 yr Ill probs go see this on Weds as part of E4 Slackers Club :D At least if its crap, i will walk away knowing that i didnt pay anything for it and not feel guilty about watching it illegally
May 2, 201015 yr URGHHH, it's certified 18 in my cinema :( which means i'm not gonna be able to see it in big screen... :snif: i'll buy it on DVD instead which will take forever to wait for  i just hope it lives up to it's '18' certificate If its an 18 certificate in the cinema then chances are it will be an 18 on DVD. Does it mean people under 18 can't watch? :o Silly thing at our times imo. Its not really silly... Some films are "over rated" but usually if they are at a certain rating then its for good reason. Im sure it will be just as easy to find online anyway
May 3, 201015 yr In here they sell everything to everyone, literally, you can be 12 and you will be able to buy alcohol and cigarettes in most of the places. Agh, so spoilful :nocheer:
May 5, 201015 yr It's actually pretty good. :o One of the few decent horror remakes. Some of it is even, imo, more effective than the original. The only down side to it is that the girl who plays Nancy is shockingly bad, seriously she makes Paris Hilton look like an oscar winner. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.
May 5, 201015 yr I also enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Jackie really is the Freddy I always thought there should be, he's just brilliant. Make no mistake though, he's evil through and through, and completely twisted. I didn't think Rooney was terrible. She played it quite subtle and understated, which I liked, as I thought Heather's acting in the original was hammy and over the top for the most part. There are some scenes in this that work very well indeed. Without giving anything anyway, the scene you see in the trailer, with a girl falling through the ceiling onto her bed in an upside down fountain of blood, and the 10 minutes after that, is absolutely fantastic. It's a nice little homage to Johnny Depp's famous scene in the original. I will definitely be watching it again, more for Jackie than anything else, but I think it's getting unfairly criticised personally. Edited May 5, 201015 yr by PaulM1983
May 8, 201015 yr I was disappointed, the acting was shocking, but i think i was more disgusted at the fact that i got charged 10 euro! :o Im never going there again
May 11, 201015 yr Saw this. It was pretty bad. Especially the script - it's like the writers just watched the whole franchise and picked lines out of them and threw 'em in this film. The CGI was pointless and further proved doing it yoursef works best. Acting was pants. Although, Jackie and that Kyle Gallner dude were alright. The pacing of the film was wayyyy too quick, too.
May 16, 201015 yr I just finished watching the Never Sleep Again documentary. Fantastic stuff, and gives a real insight into the making of each movie. All of the people involved are very honest about what they think about some of the other films.
May 18, 201015 yr Ooh, I ordered that last week. I can't wait to get it - it looks fantastic and has been getting excellent reviews. You can tell how much all of them care about the franchise - particularly Heather, Wes and Robert. I think I'm getting a signed poster with mine, too. *Crosses fingers*
May 18, 201015 yr Yep, think you'll get a poster signed by Heather. It's one of the best, most in depth, movie documentaries I've ever seen. It's so obvious it was made by people who genuinely love the franchise, but aren't too scared to show the negative stuff too. There's also some great special features, and the entire section on Nightmare 2 is brilliant. They finally address those homo-erotic theme stories, and it's very interesting!!! There's lots of clips of deleted and extended scenes too.
