I think the Lada logo is far better :P Quite sad that Renault have now stooped so low they are taking money from possibly the worst car manufacturers in the world.

I don't understand all the fits about the race being awful. For sure a second pitstop would be preferable or tyres which don't last as long but the lack of overtaking had been around for years now and atleast we had some moves during the race as guys made their way past the new teams.

it's not really us, rather Genii Capital that have taken the cash :(

They are a horrid brand, plus they are direct competition to Renault's budget brand, Dacia [who come to the UK in 2012 :w00t:]

IMO next season they should scrap the Barcelona race and take it to Portugal at the new Autodromo Internacional De Portimao circuit on the Algarve.

This new circuit (opened in 2008) is brilliant with its undulations blind corners etc. More a real drivers circuit. The GP2 series races there.

After all why should Spain have 2 races.

Because one of them is the European GP, the same reason Germany used to have two GP's

I'd dump Valencia for the Algarve circuit as the Portimao track really looks like it could be an amazing track and an all time classic.
Valencia is an awful spectacle but it's obvious they like the street circuits so it'll be here for a while. And Catalunya is worth keeping. I'd like to go back to A1 Ring or Imola...
I'd love to see Imola return, it's a classic track with some great sections. I've never seen a race at A1 ring so I'll reserve judgement on that :P It's got to be better than Bahrain/Valencia/Abu Dhabi though .

My perfect season would consist of 2 races in Melbourne, 2 races in Montréal, 2 races in Spa, 2 races in Interlagos, 2 races at Suzuka (those are the 5 best tracks in the calendar, IMO), 1 race at Monza (great track but still not great enough to consistently provide exciting races with the awful F1 rules), 1 race at Silverstone (high chance of rain and a decent track), 1 race at the Nürburgring (possible rain and a decent track), 1 race at Monaco (for the spectacle), 1 race at Istanbul (best Tilke track by far, though that doesn't say much) and 1 race at Malaysia (during rain season!).

Away with the tracks that have proven to be a borefest more often than not and 2 races on the tracks that have proven that almost every race on them is at least interesting.

Melbourne is an AMAZING Grand Prix

I'm slightly biased as i was there last year  The atmosphere was brilliant, the transport to and from Albert Park was well run, it was very well organised. All in all an amazing circuit/experience.

I wish i was there this year, Cilmi is performing the Aussie anthem

Well that was a lot better!!

I wish Lewis would've shut up moaning though... And good to see Schumi struggling behing a Torro Rosso for so long. HEIDFELD! :(

Really good race today and a solid result for Massa :cheer:, he's finally managed to break his cycle of flopping in the first two races of the season [07/08]. Also I'm really impressed be Liuzzi, 8 points in 2 races :o and Alguersuari is 10 x better than he was last year. Just shows how a bit of testing can help.

Very happy for Kubica.

Very sad for Vettel.

And Webber's driving was horrible. WTF was that?

:w00t: WE GOT A PODIUM!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :cheer:

Thats right, i've gone from cheering back to back world championships to being overjoyed at 2nd place. :snif:

Minor  at Kubica beating Alonso. Shame Fernando didn't get past Massa, i'd have loved for him to spend 30 laps staring at the Renault's rear wing. :heehee:

I also have new found love for Webber  Anyone who puts that arrogant SOB hamiltion into a wall, gravel trap, jail etc gets my immediate and total respect. I do hope the stewards don't punish Webber, the little c**t in the McMerc's had it coming.

And UBER  at Cuntface getting his car impounded by the Victoria State Police. What kind of f***ing moron does burnouts/donuts etc in front of a marked cop car? Good on the Victorian coppers for puttin that $h!t bag in his place. Just coz he won a WC a monkey could have won with that car doesn't make him God/exempt from traffic laws etc.

Also major boo @ Button winning. I've never liked the prick, i dislike him more now he's actually winning instead of over estimating the BAR's potential. [Like him sitting at the back part of the gird and thinking he could put it on the podium in 2004. Prick, your car wasn't that good]

Best quali in ages.

And a great result. Except that Webber should have gotten a penalty for wrecking in Australia.

Ferrari & McLaren mucked qualifying up = a great race tomorrow.

Hopefully it will rain again during the race to further spice things up.

Renault 6th and 11th :o f*** yes! :cheer:

Petrov actually stepped up to the mark, and got through to Q2 and then topped the drop outs

Yeah, McMerc and FernandoTheives f***ing up helped :kink: but, we're in a good position for tomorrow.

Now, if Petrov can actually finish :magic:

No rain but still an entertaining race. Very happy with the top 5.

Some nice battles, especially Petrov and Alguersuari were great. :D

Spoke too soon re Petrov finishing -_-

Although major :w00t: At Kubica getting 4th. Just 18secs behind the RBRenault.

I doubt we'll win a race this year, but we could be looking at top5 in the constructors which would be nice after 8th :drama:
