I forgot about Spain due to exam brain rot. :(

I hope my parents have Sky+'d it. Not surprised at Renault's 8th, we knew we were going to struggle as everyone brought huge upgrades compared to our little and every race approach.

Believe me you missed little in terms of entertainment.

I think the BBC would struggle to come up with a 5 minute package of highlights as it was (probably) duller than the behind close doors meetings going on between the Conservatives and the LibDems in Whitehall right now..

Races like this make me wish they could randomly deluge the circuit with water with about 10 laps to go.

i missed most of last season, whats another one. [i refused to stay up till 1am to watch the bloody grand prix, i had class at 8am]

Spain's always quite a dull race. :(

I'm still to see the last 3-5laps of Australia 2009. I moved from the screen seconds before the crash so i could catch my flight back to Brisbane

This season has been such a drag for me, idk if it's the increased grid size, the influx of boring tracks at its peak or the new points system, but F1's lost a bit of its magic for me, this year :P

Incidentally, these would be the standings under the old (and imo better) system

01 Hamilton 52

02 Button 49

03 Vettel 47

04 Alonso 41

05 Webber 40

06 Kubica 33

07 Rosberg 29

08 Massa 26

09 Schumacher 13

10 Sutil 12

And constructors:

01 McLaren 101

02 Red Bull 87

03 Ferrari 67

04 Mercedes 42

05 Renault 35

I prefer the old points system because it's easier to compare it with previous years + the smaller numbers make the race for the title seem 'closer'

agreed the new system is ridiculous. The could have just altered the old one slightly to fit the amount of teams (having 10 drivers getting points by making it like the Eurovision points system).

I have seen so few races this year.

Am pleased with Renaults top5 placing this year thus far. If we manage to retain Kubica we could be in good shape for next year. Our engine seems to be reliable and bloody good given it's like the least powerful on the grid.

I have seen so few races this year.

Did you watch Canada? That's the only race really worth checking out, tbh. Mainly because the soft tyres were wasted after 3 or 4 laps.

Well, the second half of Silverstone wasn't bad, either, with some of the faster cars in the back of the field.

AFAIK, Kubica already signed a contract for the 2 following years (I think) with Renault before Silverstone, btw. ;)

I'm not really a Renault fan so I kinda wish he hadn't because I want to see him in a better car, though. :P

Woooooooooooooooo!!!!! :cheer: I've been out of the F1 loop this season :drama: I am pleased we are keeping him.

Better car, hmpf, we won back to back world titles without having the best car on the grid.

Yeah but back then it was the 2nd or 3rd best car on the grid and you had THE best F1 driver in recent years (IMO). :P

Alonso is dead to me, unless he's driving a Renault in which case, bygones etc.

Kubica and Vettel are easily two of the best drivers on the grid, Vettels shining, we just need to get our $h!t together and give Kubica a car he can win the world titles he deserves in.

I'm not a fan of a certain team, I'm just a fan of drivers so I don't have that problem.

Vettel isn't one of the top 5 drivers for me, tbh.

He makes too many mistakes and is a pretty bad overtaker, IMO.

Top 5 for me would look something like this:

1. Alonso

2. Kubica

3. Hamilton

4. Rosberg

5. Button

You aren't seriously saying that MASSA is the best F1 driver currently on the grid, are you? :o

My top 5

1 Webber

2 Hamilton

3 Vettel

4 Alonso

5 Rosberg

My objective opinion ...

Subjective opinion..

1 Webber

2 Rosberg

3 Hamilton

4 Alonso

5 Massa

He's definitely my favourite - and I think he's really underrated, he beat Raikkonen and he hasn't come off too badly against Alonso (except in a couple of races :P)

I guess we disagree then.

If anything, Massa is overrated, IMO. :P

Look no further than Silverstone 2008 to see that.

I've never been a fan of Filipe Massa. That's mainly because I've always been a big fan of Nick Heidfeld and I still can't see why he was given a bigger drive ahead of Nick!

I'm hoping Webber wins the title, after that I'm not massively bothered with anyone. I don't like Alonso or Schumacher though. Would be nice to see Rosberg and Kubica do well though, and Rubens.

What an AWFUL race, Alonso is an absolute prat - can we not have Raikkonen back?

Still, a great race for Massa - undoubtedly the driver of the day. And it's good to finally see him back on the podium, but he should've been claiming his 12th win today - not playing second fiddle to satan himself.

i switched off after that moment.
