McLaren are looking like they may have even fallen behind Renault this weekend :o. Looking like another good weekend of Ferrari, but Red Bull are miles ahead in practice.

:kink: Turns out in this case it did - Red Bulls 1.2 seconds ahead of 3rd placed Alonso - and McLaren did seem to fall behind Renault, although Lewis Hamilton seemed to outperform the car and end up only 1.7 secs off pole :P.

:P

But look at the gaps! The race will be VERY boring if it doesn't rain. :/

f*** me sideways Petrov outqualified Kubica :o

Praise the lord!!! Petrov can drive afterall!!!!

The two cars on the 4th row is a bloody brilliant sign, hopefully we can get a double points finish again :w00t:

Very interesting race if not a bit too long. Glad that Webber came out as the victor.

:puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: @ Schumacher whaT A jerk. Give that seat to Heidfeld please!

:yahoo: for Webber! Very great race for him, and i'm plessed to see Sauber in top 10 :D

A great race (considering it was at the Hungaboring)

If we still had the old system, there would be the standings atm:

01 Hamilton 65

02 Webber 63

03 Vettel 61

04 Button 59

05 Alonso 57

06 Massa 39

07 Rosberg 36

08 Kubica 35

And in the constructors:

01 Red Bull 124

02 McLaren 124

03 Ferrari 96

04 Mercedes 49

05 Renault 41

06 Force India 15

07 Williams 13

08 Sauber 7

Pretty close stuff going on there :o

Now we're into the summer break, I think come the end of the season we'll see Hamilton, Webber, Vettel and Alonso still in contention - I think Button will start to fall behind now - he'll just have to try and stay ahead of Massa, who I think now he's got back into 6th - will stay there.

I think Ferrari will continue to catch McLaren, but I think Red Bull's the only team really with 2 drivers left in the title fight - so assuming there're no more screw ups, I think they should win the constructors' championship.

With Petrov getting the hang of finishing races, Renault could be looking at a potential 4th place in the constructors :o

Yeah, very impressive race by Petrov.

And Schumacher is just crazy. Looks like he switches his brain off when defending his position.

The race was better than expected, though. And the championship is wide open. :D

I actually met Petrov last year :o Grumpy as anything! Pretty good driver though :kink:

I don't like having to wait so long for Spa! :(

Good news: Nick Heidfeld has left Mercedes to become the official test driver for Pirelli who will supply tyres next year. This will put him in a good position to get a decent seat.

I miss having multiple tire manufacturers - the 2006 championship was so exciting, with the arms race between Michelin and Bridgestone - it helped intensify an amazing battle between Renault and Ferrari.

I know right!

The suspension set up that the Michelin tire required really favoured our car. We haven't been the same since

Yeah, probably Williams or Renault. Good to see Nick is back on track :D

The Renault seat seems to be this seasons most coveted. ^_^

I really hope we get someone who can give Kubica a run for his money and grab us some serious pointage. Having Kovy back would be AMAZING

If we compare Kovalainen with Kubica that one is clear who is faster, but If Nick come back in the car again with Kubica, that will be very hard to see who is faster. I remember very well when they both was in BMW, they was very close in speed, especially in training's.

Kovy is very average IMHO, found his level at Lotus

At McLaren he was hopeless so Renault can do a lot better

I would go for someone like Sutil, young, fast, not quite Kubica level but would be able to give him a decent run for his money

Heidfeld won't be back, apparently one of the conditions of the Pirelli deal is that he is not allowed to race in 2011 as he would have an unfair advantage of tyre understanding.

He did well in his season at Renault pulling that complete dog of a car onto the podium.

From what i understand Renault were after Kimi R for the 2nd seat, after they tried and failed to get him to replace Alonso, but he has now signed up for another season of Rallying.
