#23 in the mids

There are so many things wrong with how this album is going. First off, "Wear My Kiss" shouldn't have even been considered as a single. Secondly, the promotion for this has been awful. Next, the constant push backs of the album & changing things round was ridiculous. And if we really want to get into it, the type of sound they're doing isn't what the majority of fans are used to. Oh - and everything that happened with Keisha. All of those things are working against the girls and whoever is in charge needs shooting.

 

The sensible thing would have been to release the album the following week after "About A Girl" and cash in on Christmas sales.

What's stupid is the fact that they've pushed the album back multiple times now, If the whole album hadn't leaked online last month then maybe they'd be fine but I think it's working against them now.

I agree WMK was an awful choice for the third single, IMO it should have been one of C&B, NMY and SAM. Something unheard.

 

My thoughts on the f***wit that sent out the album promo two months ago have been well documented on Buzzjack :heehee:

 

AAG was more old school Suga, a Ballad would have done well, and She's A Mess is just orgasmic.

 

 

Here's where i disagree, releasing Sweet 7 in Nov would have been a horrific decision. Keisha-gate was still far to fresh as can be seen by AAG's hideous chart run considering it should have gone to #1 [Had K not been sacked it was in with a chance] I agree with pushing the album back, but they should have left it in Feb, instead of pushing it twice more.

I mean...I think "About A Girl" would have done better had it been promoted properley. Amelle went nuts for a while and she was out just in time to promote the single on a few shows. Maybe the situation with Keisha was still fresh...I dunno. I think it would have done better though had it been released right after "About A Girl" though. Maybe had they waited to release "About A Girl" in February and the album straight afterwards, then I can agree with you.

 

But man...this whole thing is messed up and honestly, I cannot see this album being a success (sales wise).

 

What the girls need to do is shut up about Keisha (that's working AGAINST them) and forget about this era and head back into the studio and work on their next album. That way the public can have a break ... and so can they. All plans about releasing stateside = scrap 'em. They're only just having enough success over here. If they can't promote properley here, they have no chance in the US because it requires A LOT of hard work and at this point, I'm not sure if they're committed enough for that based on everything I've seen with the last two singles & the album.

 

Sooo...yeah.

 

1. Anything Keisha = don't even go there.

2. Release the album, a forth single and call it a day.

3. Go into the studio and come back at the end of the year/early next year.

I'm not surprised at the big fall, but I was hoping it would have another week in the top 20.

It's still 20 my itunes and 5 on amazon. So it should be top 20 on sunday

Hopefully the promo on Friday will push WMK back up and it seems to be on the good side of the weekend effect so that will help it move up. I'm thinking move Crash &Burn forward a couple weeks and release SAM in July or maybe Miss Everything (with a different edit though, they need to be on the chorus) as I can see both of them being brilliant summer hits. Then they should go away write music of their own work with new/unknown up and coming producers who have their own style release lead single in early August then the follow up in October and release the album 1 week after.

 

I think Sweet 7 could get at least platinum in the long run if they keep releasing singles it will sell. After C&B i'd like it to go ME or SAM in July, the other one in September and LMP in November. Then go away and come back November 2011.

I agree, How I wish they would have waited until after AAG was released before the whole line-up change, the song was definetly worth more than #8 but I blame their manager.
