WAIT! OLLY IS LAST OF THE OVERS?!

I was thinking the same actually, not only was he last of the Overs, but he was the final performer of the night. I think Simon may have reconsidered his category after last week. The guy he'd been giving the most attention and best performance slots came bottom two, while his most likely bet for the final appears to be the guy he's been giving the early slots. I was also glad to see Rachel was last on of the girls.

My belated ratings:

01. Joe - Man I love this guy  Always pulls off a brilliant vocal and he's been so underrated on the show :(

02. Lucie - A surprise this, but after her amazing performance last week she continued with a brilliant vocal and didnt destroy a classic in the slightest.

03. Rachel - Even if I think she is a tad fake, she is quite brilliant, and the song choice was very clever as one of the judges said (I wanna say Cheryl?), really starting to think she could bring up one of the biggest turnarounds in the history of the show.

04. Olly - HE DOES IT AGAIN. Even if I am annoyed Simon Cowell destroyed The Beatles reputation by using them on X Factor.

05. Stacey - I do LOVE her and it was a nice performance but she needs to do something different soon :(

06. Jamie - Oh COME ON, he is quite karaoke, good vocal though.

07. John & Edward - OK so they cant sing all that well but this was their best yet and without a doubt the most entertaining, and I'd prefer them to stay in this week over the bottom 2 who were far away from the rest...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

08. Danyl - So Simon's chosen one comes out with a pathetic little sob story VT about how mean the nation is to him. SHOULDN'T BE SUCH A c**t THEN SHOULD HE. Still detest him and the vocal was beyond flat and awful.

09. Lloyd - SOMEONE THROW SOMETHING AT HIM. He cannot sing and his voice tonight was laughable, seriously awful, I hate how he's gonna get kept in just because he's a f***ing pretty boy.

Oh god, I felt so bad for Danyl :( everybody is being so unecessarily harsh on him, and Simon was right that he's being told contradictory things by the judges.

I hope, despite the bad performance, he stays in, his confidence looked so dented yesterday :(

edit: oh, and I also need to vent about what an AWFUL judge Cheryl Cole is. She's really made me dislike her over this series, she comes across as such a bitch.

Thankyou ITV Player XD;

Joe I think he's a really good singer, but it wouldn't be great for the show if he won. He doesn't seem very marketable, and he hasn't really got across what he's actually about, for example, genre or whatever. He just comes across as a bit of a puppet. 5/10

Lucie I thought it was really country-like, a bit similar to something Carrie Underwood would do. It started of really good (she could've given Sheryl Crow a run for her money), but when the GnR version kicked in it didn't really click. If Axl watched that I think he would be pretty pissed. 6/10

Danyl Louis is completely right at the start in saying, "Simon is trying to force the audience into liking Danyl". As for the performance, fukking horrendous. It makes it easier to understand why Steven Tyler doesn't like shows like the X-Factor and Pop/American Idol. -1/10 [Oh yeah, the sympathy tactics and Simon bumming him hard are really starting to grate on me!]

Lloyd LOL. lol lol lol. lolz. a whole lotta lol. flat. tuneless. ridiculous song choice! 0/10 [Okay, what the HELL is Simon on? Louis is completely correct. Rock week = and he's sang Katy Perry. How could Simon even compliment it one bit?]

Stacey She should win it. 10/10

Jamie Yeah, I've seen my Dad do that many times down the pub after a drink or two. Louis was completely right. Lenny Kravitz (sp?) impersonator. 04

Rachel T'was a good vocal performance! 9/10

Jedward Meh, it's just kinda boring now. 1/10

Olly What was with the strange mix of the Aerosmith & Michael Jackson version? Didn't really sound right. Tbh, I found it kinda cringeworthy hearing one of the few Beatles song I like ('Come Together' being an all time favourite) sung the way he sang it. 06/10

01. 10 Stacey

02. 09 Rachel

03. 06 Lucie

04. 06 Olly

05. 05 Joe

06. 04 Jamie

07. 01 John & Edward

08. 00 Lloyd

09. -1 Danyl

everybody is being so unecessarily harsh on him

Hardly, I think he's worse than John & Edward. At least I want to see the twins perform [even though I'm beginning to find them tedious and boring], when Danyl does I'd just rather put the mute button on.

I personally don't think Danyl was ever overly cocky tbh.......but I just never really got him if you know what I mean :/

He makes every song he sings sound the same

Pretty poor last night. Lucie was SENSATIONAL (shockingly, given this week really shouldn't've suited her), and Rachel was also really good - again surprising, because I was not at all impressed with her the first couple of weeks. Olly was good, Stacy was good but a little disappointing. Danyl was very disappointing - the last 30 secs of his performance were behind only Lucie for best vocals of the night, but most of his song he was out of tune. I doubt he'll be in the bottom 2 again this week though. Jamie was so karaoke-ish, Lloyd was crap, Joe was blah again (what's with the sudden hype around him?) and John & Edward were... John & Edward.

THE BEST WEEK BY A f***ING MILE SO FAR.

My ratings:

1. Olly // He was so hot. I mean SO HOT. Even without opening the shirt. Completely ADORED the vocals. Nailed it. Perfection. 10/10

----------------------------------

2. Rachel // As brilliant as ever. 9/10

2=. Joe // I'm REALLY impressed with his vocal ability. He is ab;e to hold a note for so long or move on stage (practically jumping) without any slightest difference in vocals. Terrific. 9/10

4. Jamie // The first time i loved his performance although i don't get into him as an X-factor contestant. 8/10

5. Lucie // Ratings turnaround this week. I loved the new look and music style for Lucie this week, although i must admit she was a little bit uncomfortable there performing. I wanted her to break some guitar or stand on sofa doing the cliched rock moves. 7.5/10

6. Jedward // I really liked it. They finally started singing together, along to each other and fitting into the show although i caught some desperate looks of unconfidence there. 6/10

----------------------------------

7. Stacey // Way to go to destroy my Top 5 song EVER Stacey.  5/10

----------------------------------

8. Lloyd // Trash. Rubbish. Hate his voice now. The gesture he was making when singing 'i hope her boyfriend don't mind it' pointing behind his back was so i-sing-for-deaf-people, lose it please. :( 3/10

9. Danyl // The last place is reserved for him every week. No need to listen or watch the performance. The same shouting in the end to hit the money note, the same DRAMA when comments arrive, the same "the best performance i've ever heard" from Simon. 0/10

I really enjoyed my Top 6 performances from the beginnig 'til the end. Oh and Stacey... but just because it's KEANE

Oh, forgot to say... I think it's going to be a shock bottom 2 tonight. Joe vs Jamie, with probably Jamie going.
Why was there no guitar intro or solo in Lucie's performance of SCOM? I realise it's still a singing contest, so that obviously takes priority, but still, you just CAN'T get rid of both of them. That's what the songs famous for, Slash's brilliant riff and solo.
The bottom 2 of this week i think is Lloyd and Danyl (or Lucie) with Lloyd going obvs.

Hmm? I edited it off and it was a mistake... 7 minutes BEFORE you replied :kink:

'Way to go to destroy my Top 5 song EVER Stacey.' That's what I meant. :snif:

COZ SHE DID. It's hard for me to say that but still it's true. Was awful.

COZ SHE DID. It's hard for me to say that but still it's true. Was awful.

For me it was the best of the night - so that's shocking to me :o

I hate these performances, they're so cringey and Americanised...really takes any remaning 'rock authenticity' away from Jamie anyway
