If you seriously believe all this stuff (esp. the part about her being the first British female to top the charts without coming from a reality background ) you are ever so slightly kidding yourself. Besides, other people on this thread have shot down your argument, but you haven't bothered to respond to them. I think it's it's time for you to backtrack buddy, before you embarrass yourself..

OK, I do admitt to my points being wrong. I based the first point on an article on Digital Spy I saw somewhere a few weeks back which was obviously flawed. But that's not the point, some of the artists Slowpoke and Jake pointed out didnt fit the category either. The only artists to meet that category properly of this decade are Estelle, Gabrielle, Sonique, Natasha Bedingfield and Pixie. Of which Pixie is the only one of the bunch to have 2 #1s this decade. And could've very well gotten a third with Cry Me Out if it wasn't for Simon Cowell stealing deserved artists thunder every December So she has done incredibly well, her singles have had good longevity and she's had a top 10 album that is currently back on the rise and should be back in the top 15 come December.

How many albums has she sold?

I imagine about 65-70k.

Ouch! That's even less than I thought. She needs to shift a hell of a lot more than that before you start talking about longevity.

Hehe. Don't worry. It's not over yet. I have high hopes the album can shift a 100k by the end of the year. :D

'Cry Me Out' is not going to be anywhere near #1, I'd predict anywhere from #6 to #20 for it.

Uh no, in fact its double that. Her album was certified Gold two or so weeks ago which means its sold over 100k and is now probably somewhere between 120 and 150. Plus I estimate she's sold about 50k outside of the UK and the album hasn't even been around for two months. She's doing brilliantly, honestly have no idea what Truly Talented is going on about.

I think it'll easily go top ten but I'm hoping for top 5. It's a stunning winter ballad, the kind of song that will selll big time during December but it's supposed to help album sales more than its own so I won't be too bothered if it misses the top 5 but it definitely IS another top ten hit, it's Pixie Lott - her singles popularity is huge and Cry Me Out has been described by the majority as the best song on the album.

Obviously, I'm talking about UK sales.

I know. I said it was certified Gold in the UK and has sold between 120k and 150k in the UK. I said I estimated 50k for outside global sales. Learn to read.

Pixie album has sold just over 71k in the UK. Pretty poor considering it's produced two #1's IMO.

Thank you Ryan. I agree. Being certified Gold just means distributed to the retailers not sold.

Chase & Status - #11

Journey - #13

Beyonce (BHG) - #40

Kano - #43

Sean Kingston - #64

Pixie - #65

Fake TiK ToK - #69

Bon Jovi (WWBTF) - #102

I can't believe some of you people are laying into Pixie Lott yet praise Cheryl Cole.

I am not a Pixie Lott fan and would never buy one of her records. However, I can safely say that she has achieved alot this year having two number one singles despite their low sales. A number one is a number one whatever way you look at it. Her album has not sold fantastically but can we please remember she has not appeared or had anything to do with X Factor. If you look at the album charts in the top 10 we have Michael Buble, Alrexandra, Whitney and Cheryl all of these albums are selling based on the X Factor. I think people need to give Pixie some slack she is 17 has a fantastic voice and gained a following in an industry that is credibility wise being destroyed by a tv show.

Also JLS were pathetic on X Factor last night. Marvin for one cannot sing a note in tune and the dancing was just bad. At least they are good for something though kicking that talentless bint off the top spot.

I'm not laying into her just stating facts. I agree she is far more talented than Cheryl Cole. Sadly quality isn't what always sells in today's market.

really hope Laura White will climb after she appears on Loose Women, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and the BBC Breakfast Show

Hope so too. Really like her new single. Saw her on BBC news. She's lost so much wait. :o Makes her look a bit gaunt in the face.

Wait 71k is impossible, her album was certified Gold a few weeks ago on 100k and that's excluding outside-the-UK sales. I don't get it. Her album has sold fine and its still too early to say her album hasnt sold well because she's yet to release its 3rd and 4th singles. Thank you, Rated R, people are digging into Pixie unnecessarily, she has accomplished a lot this year. Fact. And its based on pure deserved sales not based on X Factor or The Sound Of 2009.

RyRy has now confirmed TIU is only on about 71k, but just by the way, if it WAS certified as selling 100k two weeks ago, how would it have sold 20-50k in two weeks? It's not even been in the top 40 for like 3 or 4 weeks...

I'm not denying that Pixie has been successful, as she has! 2 #1 singles, a third single likely to do fairly well, loads of airplay and a fairly successful album. That's amazing considering she doesn't have the X Factor or anything to aid her, and she's only 18 as well. It's just that she is in no way, shape or form the most successful artist of the year, far from it.

Anyway, epic scale flop for the new Bon Jovi single, but 'Livin On A Prayer' is #49 and 'Always' #66...

Anyway, I hope Chase & Status and Journey/Snow Patrol can knock Miley out of the top ten now. You can do it guys!
