Just heard what the original Sugababes are calling themselves! And it's ground breaking! (hint: shorten the original name)

 

... so Suga/Sugar/Sugas then.

I could get on board with "Sugar." It's not AWFUL. I would still be tempted to call them One Touch though.

I think a better name would be "The Original Sugababes" Suga isnt bad though.

Doubt they could get away with having "Sugababes" in their name - see Original Bucks Fizz.

 

Suga is a good way to reference the past and have themselves easily searchable on iTunes etc but not risking a lawsuit.

Suga I can very happily live with. It's nice and close to Sugababes which is what everyone is gonna be calling them anyway.

I like Suga, but I still would've preferred One Touch.

When he said it's shortened i was thinking more like, Subes :lol: Suga is alright i guess.

Obviously I STILL wanted ''Sugababes'' to be happening but at least they kept something close to that. I'm just gonna pretend that this is a continuation of the ''Sugababes'' brand and I will give them that name on iTunes accordingly when that day comes the (8th) album drops.

Suga isnt bad, at least it still has half the original name, I think most fans will still refer to them as the Sugababes regardless of what they're now "officially called" anyway.

It makes perfect sense, as it is currently managed by Polydor/Universal, and they are supossed to have signed with them. The rights to One Touch and Revolution in Me belong to Warner though.
