There was a lengthy discussion about 2 months ago where TIP explained in great detail why it is a 48 hour chart.

 

Unless they've changed it since then (which I see no evidence of) then I'm inclined to stick with TIP's explanation.

Sugas are almost top 5 now anyway - with the live lounge, they'll easily go top 5. Then hopefully GMTV can push them past Ke$ha.

i think the sugas sales will be farly impressive for a top ten hit anyway.

We shall see tomorrow. If Leona is still #1 in 24 hours time then I can't see it being anything other than a 24 hour chart, if she's #3 or less then it's more.

 

At midnight last night she was just behind JLS. If iTunes is 48 hour rolling then she's sold the same in one day as JLS have done in two. As JLS Saturday sales are cancelled out by their Monday sales their 48 hours units and popularity will remain pretty static, this should surely be an indication Leona is well ahead? If Leona sells what she did on Sunday again on Monday she'd soon build up a pretty hefty lead, of around 50%. She hasn't, my iTunes would suggest about 10-15%. If that's all she's managed to add in one day then that's extremely poor, especially within 24 hours of an X-Factor performance....

As far as I can see the popularity bars haven't updated since about 3pm this afternoon - or have they?

 

Because if they have and she's built up quite a lead, then if she's still #1 tomorrow that does not mean that the chart is 24 hours rolling.

I hope your right, I see Ke$ha dropping in a similar style that Lady GaGa is now because they were out on download way before their physical week etc so it is possible.
