Yes, for singles it's apparently now 99% download and 1% physical

:o

I miss the days of physical singles. B-sides etc

It has been said by the music industry insidering on the official forum that staff at The Mirror have been told to buy JLS's album in bulk. As ridiculous as it may sound, it is quite likely tbh

That actually wouldn't surprise me. They're bitter enough to pull a stunt like that

1 JLS 149.4k

2 Robbie Williams 146.2k

I'm gonna get it tomorrow rather than wait until christmas now! Maybe the rumours with tomorrow might help :kink:

Yes Nicky, get it tomorrow  CIN is on tonight but not broadcast till next week so it wont help at all

He was just on This Morning and the chart battle or the album even being out now was not mentioned. Mostly talk about Jedward

It is so annoying that he is going to have achieved the highest first day sales of the whole year, sell way more than predicted overall first week but still miss out the #1.

Yep, he's gonna be 'a flop' despite selling WAY more than Rudebox  Then again with Leona looking like she might not do as well maybe he'll climb up in the lead up to christmas!

And maybe the fact that this will become the greatest and most ironic album title in history might work in his favour! Reality Killed The Video Star? Well being kept #1 in the singles and albums by X Factor acts make it look like that's the truth!

i hate all the x factor crap now... rob deserves #1!

Even though i don't particularly like this album I prefer it to go to number one than this zeroes-without-x-factor JLS. :(

Apparently one of the main HMV's in London have sold out of the album now but have plenty of JLS albums left. FFS, this is ridiculous. EMI shouldve made sure enough were shipped to prevent this happening. They obviously were not expecting it to sell so much or something but itt is not like the album is going to sell a million copies first week. How incompetent can EMI be?

Robbie could easily end up selling near or over 250,000 copies by Sunday which is more than anyone expected. To think if EMI were not so appauling at their jobs and not picked the worst bloody weeks to release, he wouldve not only EASILY reached #1 with the album, but also #1 with Bodies. It is infurIating how this couldve been prevented with ease.To think that Robbie has sold 55 million albums for EMI and is going to be denied #1 due to only a few thousand copies.

 how can you all afford to buy multiple copies of the album aswell as downloads

Robbie has made a shock new entry at number 6 here in Ireland, i was totally shocked not to see it top 2 here as robbie has always done well here in Ireland.

I know. I am totally confused how this happened. It was #1 on itunes most of the week and then dropped to #2. JLS were not even top 10. Obviously the majoiity of albums are bought in shops here. In HMV in Dublin, the entire window was covered in JLS posters and the album was only €11.99 (which is shockingly cheap for a new release here) and Robbie's was €16.99 and was quite hard to find. At the bottom of the main stand. Michael Bubles album was all over all stands though. I do not get this seemingly deliberate attempt by HMV to get JLS to #1. Tbh, sales in Ireland are so low tha the huge HMV signing JLS did during the week wouldve been enoug to get them to #1 as there was a huge amount of kids there, plus they were on the LLS. However, I dont get how Robbie is only #6. #1 on Itunes and #4 in HMV, seem very odd. I was hoping he would do the LLS, but tbh, Ireland is such a small market, I doubt it means enough when an act is as big as Rob accross the globe. It is very dissapointing though. Irish people are more concered with Michael buble and Daniel O'D (I blame Jups for this one  ).

I hold you personally responsible for the Ireland debacle. You should be ashamed

I still think he'll do it. Don't get me wrong ... I actually like the lads from JLS ... they seem like nice boys ... but I do think Rob will pick up on Saturday sales to just pip them to it. Even as a non-Rob fan ... there are a couple of songs on this album that I like (Bodies apart!!!!)

You think?

I'm not sure. Depends whether loads of JLS cds are bought as Xmas presents this weekend or not..... :arrr:

How many copies are JLS leading by now?

You know ... I still think he'll beat them to the number one slot. But ... even if he doesn't ... who do you think will have the greater sales by Christmas????

I actually feel all warm and fluffy in the Robbie Forum tonight!

I actually wouldn't care too much about the number 1 if it wasn't for the press.

The Daily Record (a Mirror Group newspaper surprise surprise) basically said today that if Robbie gets beaten to No1 album by JLS his comeback is effectively over. And the worrying thing is, a lot of daft people actually believe this trash.

There was yet another letter from a said dafty in their letters page today saying Robbie only wanted to rejoin TT because his career has stalled and they are so successful. He's currently Number 1 in 18 countries FFS.

I'm sure TT would be the first to admit they are nowhere near as successful globally as Robbie. I just want to scream when I read this kind of stuff !!!! http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/boese/a052.gif

More to the point, how can JLS's young fans afford multiple copies?

Pocket money must be fantastic these days :o

Rubbish on all counts. Yes ... its true that Take That are an incredible force on their own ... and given a little time ... I think they could go even further. It is ridiculous for people to dismiss Rob! Even if he doesn't make the number 1 slot this weekend in the UK (and I actually believe he will) . Come Christmas he will have the greater sales. And besides ... even album sales these days aren't the marker of success! It is tours that are the decider! Rob and TT are ahead of everyone else in the game at the moment!

I just did a check around the sites and:

He is #1 on HMV, Play.com, Amazon (digitally and physically - actually JLS are not even #2 digitally, Rob'sGreatest Hits is  ), Itunes, Tesco (digitally and physically). I just do not get how JLS are ahead. Yes I know they have a lot of support from HMV will the covers thing and the signing and the posters all over the windows etc, but really, surely most cd's are bought online or in supermakets as they are cheaper there? I find it all so irriating.
