No sales info for Rob today annoyingly but estimates are that Bodies sold over 8K, YKM over 30K and the album between 20-25K :D

So esimtated totals now are:

RKTVS: 753K+

YKM: 170K

Well finally certificates have been given by the BPI for both Bodies and RKTVS. I am confused as to why RKTVS is not 3xplat though. 753K sold, so surely there is another 147K in UK shops to warrent to 3xplat  Typical EMI, I am shocked Bodies got an award though, Rob must've had half a dozen singles to go at least silver since Rock DJ but none of them get certified

From the BPI thread:

ROBBIE WILLIAMS - BODIES

Silver Certification (Single) Monday, January 04, 2010

EMI MUSIC (VIRGIN)

Released Monday, October 12, 2009

ROBBIE WILLIAMS - REALITY KILLED THE VIDEO STAR

2 x Platinum Certification (Album) Monday, January 04, 2010

EMI MUSIC (VIRGIN)

Released Monday, November 09, 2009

Is a Platinum award in the UK 300,000 sold or 300,000 shipped?

You should complain :smoke:

Have you got any snow yet?

How much have you got? :smoke: I demand photographic proof.

The album drops a hilarious 39 places to 59 here in Ireland   You just have to laugh, it's the 2nd biggest album in Europe in it's 7th week, yet in Ireland it is 59

What makes this more amusing is that on Ireland's most popular online website CDWOW (which doesnt count towards the chart), the album is #1 and has been all week long. No-one I know who buys albums reguarly buy them in HMV, most purchase them on cdwow due to the brilliant prices. It was €6.99 earlier in the week ( it is now 8.99) but I have seen it on HMV for 20 when other chart albums are only a tenner :o

Good news is that the album is the 2nd biggest album in Europe in it's 7th week. Subo is #1 as expected, so to think without all of her hype and peoples obsession with her, he wouldve been #1 since it's release :o

Im still surprised by how bad the album has done in ireland as robbie always sell very well in ireland. But i do have to agree about cd wow as i know thats where i buy all my cd;s from as they are just so mych cheaper than buying them here in ireland,as you mentioned robbie on avaerage was e8 cheaper on cd wow than to buy in any shop in ireland. I know like many artists robbie' sales dont count towards the chart if bought from cd wow or pla.com but where do those sales count for does anyone know, because cd wow and play.com sell huge ammounts of cd's do they not count to any countries chart???

YKM has climbed to No 4 at Amazon which is a bit of a shock ;)

I do not blame people in ireland for not buying from the likes of HMV & X Vision who are charging crazy prices for albums anway & another thing is that HMV did not have a lot of RKTVS in stock in the first place & sold out whatever stock they had Xmas wekk including several of Robbies old albums. HMV are not that keen it seems to me over here in promoting artists like Robbie & prefer the NKOTB like JLS ....then again their shelves were full of SUBO albums so that blows my theory out the window.... :)

reality drops to #3 in Germany, in the end the album has been a huge hit in UK and Germany and... Australia where I believe Reality is also due to double platinum...(140,000)

Huge fall in sales overall this week. Michael Buble at #5 only sold 8k more than Rob. Although sales are way down they are very close between 4-20 or so. Hopefully with improved weather conditions this week sales will improve. At any rate unless he plans doing some more promo for the album and 3rd single in the UK it will take ages to reach a million. A one off gig broadcast at primetime the weekend of the BRITS would be perfect - highly unlikely though
I know. I wonder how many more copies it'll actually sell?

Just looking at the Itunes charts around the word, Reality is still doing very well after over 2 months. It is currently #1 in 10 countries on the Itunes Pop Chart, and #1 in 4 on the main chart, and top 5 in a further 9 countries. I am suprised how well it has done digitally. :D

Forgot to mention the album has been #19 in the midweeks all week long. Hopefully sales will be higher than last week though seeing as the weather has improved. He is one of the few big Xmas released albums still in the top 20. Leona and Westlife are not top 40, and JLS, Alexandra, Cheryl are not top 30, so as long as he stays top 20 i'll be happy. It will rise with the BRITS and the 3rd single which needs to be released at the same time. But with EMI no doubt it will be released in April

BTW Limerick 95FM have started playing YKM....I think they only just heard that he has a new album out :)

1)Still no word for the 3rd single.--> (that's a good thing IMO).

2)Did anyone notice how cheap is RKTVS now on itunes? 4.99?????? LOL! Why did that happen?

EMI's marketing must be so well thought and brilliant.... in some allien way.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
