The track is set for release on March 8, ahead of Sport Relief weekend, which falls on March 19-21. All profits from the single will be donated to the charity. Speaking of the release, Williams paid tribute to Sport Relief. "I am very happy to donate my time to help Sport Relief and I thank my co writers for doing the same," he said. "Please join us in helping this very worthwhile cause." Williams is one of the artists involved in the charity recording of 'Everybody Hurts', which is being released for the Helping Haiti organisation. http://www.nme.com/news/robbie-williams/49429 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So what does everyone think the 3rd single will/should be? Considering every 3rd single Rob has released has begun with the letter 'S' for some reason, I think 'Starstruck' will be the next single. However, if the 'S' thing is deliberate he should change it as the only 3 Robbie singles not to make the top 10 are 3rd singles - South Of The Border, Sin Sin Sin and She's Madonna -_- If you ask me he should go with 'Last Days Of Disco' Edited February 13, 201015 yr by Jack Bauer
November 16, 200915 yr There's so many great songs on this album I would love Starstruck or Superblind to be the 3rd single, but if we count out the songs beginning with the letter S I would be happy with Last Days Of Disco or Difficult For Weirdo's, both I think would sound good on the radio But then again  Morning Sun  and Deceptacon  brill songs So glad I'm not the one that will have to decide
November 27, 200915 yr Author Apparently at the gig in Sydney Rob asked the crowd to vote between Morning Sun and Starstruck as the 3rd single and Starstruck won  So he continues to have a 3rd single begining with S - will make a good choice though if edited down for radio and if it has a strong video.
January 21, 201015 yr Author The 3rd single has today been announced by EMI and it is 'Morning Sun' and guess what? It will be released in March :hithead: :hithead: :banghead:  http://www.emimusic.de/presse/2082 I swear, EMI get more and more incompetent with age. Why on earth are they not taking advantage of the BRITS and all the buzz and free promotion it will generate for Robbie? They have yet again outdone themselves in terms of their now legendary idiotic timing. It Morning Sun was sent to radio now, and a video on TV within the next few week, then Rob performed it during his BRIT performance, it has a good chance of going top 10 or top 5, but now it is being released in March when most likely Rob will have no intention of promoting. Also, I am very suprised with the choice. Whilst I love Morning Sun and much perfer it to Starstruck, I dont see how another slowish song after YKM is a good thing. It is also not very commercial for a single...for starters it doesnt even have a chorus. Much more of a great album track if you ask me. YKM was a good choice for the 2nd single but was a safe one after Bodies, so I would perfer something different like Last Days Of Disco to be released. Difficult For Weirdos is too odd for the UK, but could work in other countries. It is odd though. This officially ends his 13 year run of 3rd singles begining with 'S' Edited January 21, 201015 yr by Jack Bauer
January 21, 201015 yr I knew they were going to do sth stupid, the genious EMI... I knew it would be morning sun from day one because it has been the song that received the best critics and it's also special to him, but at March? The brits week is getting superbusy but hey, he is receiving the biggest award! Hope is gets as massive as possibe since its my favorite from the album but EMI's strategy doesn't seem to help at all. Could we expect a nice video and a proper b-side at least?

January 22, 201015 yr Personally I love Morning Sun but don't see it charting well at all :( It's a far superior song to YKM & the UK folks seem to love that one so there's hope yet ;)
January 23, 201015 yr Hmmm. I turned on the car radio the other day and heard the very last line of Morning Sun. I did wonder if the fact they were playing it meant it was the new single. I've honestly no idea how well it will chart. These days my music taste seems at total variance with the UK record buying public. Everything I reckon will be a mega hit totally bombs and vice versa. Sing a long happy clappy choruses seem to be popular at the moment. Which kind of bombs out Morning Sun

January 26, 201015 yr Great song, not sure it'll chart well though. Hopefully Starstruck will be next. :D
January 26, 201015 yr Sport Relief? What's that then? It sounds a bit rude :kink: I'd have expected a more upbeat bouncy song for something sport connected. Unless the sport is cricket of course <_<
January 26, 201015 yr Author Sports relief is on every year I think? Doesnt Soccer Aid have something to do with it? Either way, Do You Mind wouldve suited it better as it has already been used for Footie related events. :smoke: I recall A Place To Crash was used as the theme for Soccer Aid but was never released. It wouldve been huge
