it just annoys me with all the hatred. people saying bye bye sugas because one album is their lowest peaking since one touch. so what? it will be a wake up call for the managaement tahts all. they prob even saw it coming. what did they really expect. last album bombed and yet quick evidentally a lot was injected into this one. maybe they will realise now the sugas have been unique and original up to now - they should go back to being that!

What they really need is some decent promo slots - Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, X Factor, Strictly etc...

They haven't had any decent promo for a long time!

Yes I agree they really need to be promoting this album. Amelle is tweeting she is watching Raymond and going back to bed

They should, but tbh theres always gonna be people who say "omggg flopppp so their last album now!" half the time they just do it so fans react I think, a top 15 album isn't the end of the World. Might be a good wake up sign for the babes that people want their older sound back.

It's really hard to tell what actually the buying public wants from the 'Sugababes'. Maybe everyone wants them to split up hence they don't buy their album.

What do you think they need to do to save themselves? We have discussed it a bit (in the Artist Bashing Thread :kink: ) and the conclusion so far is to: change management, looks, style, even name (!), to write their own material, what they want and what they actually feel to write instead of picking up on the popular style atm which is usually gets old by the time of releasing the new album.

Yup, i want my old Suga's back.

Less whorey look, writing their own material, working with unknown and a few known producers to come up with some of the finest pop/RnB albums around.

It's become glaringly obvious that Mutya and Keisha were solely responsible for the bands sound and drive, Mutya took the edge/sound when she left and Keisha took the drive.

You do realise Mutya was in the band? I don't see why thinks Mutya was so amazing her album was complete and utter $h!te except the singles(except B-Boy) and Strung Out,. Which Amelle wrote.

I wouldn't mind a 2.0 reuinion though. I am keen to hear this Keisha/Mutya collab.

Mutya was obviously the evil genious behind the Sugababes, yes. I think she really did take care of the edge. When she left they already lost a big edge with a more pop sounding album 'Change'.

I just really hope that the 'Babes will go for a new style/other style on their next LP.

is anyone having difficulties getting the bonus material, i bought my copy off of itunes, and it says it's not in my library! :/

i really prefer tunes like denial change and about you now over the stuff that there was with mutya

and in this day and age people only listen too sexy girl bands but sugas are acting a little bit like other girl bands but i still think they havent lost there touch

I agree, to be fair now the Sugababes lineup right now is just as creditless as Girls Aloud & The Saturdays are :(

The annoying thing is Heidi and Amelle have proved the can write. I think the problem is they did become pupperts(after mutya left), becuase they didn't want to upset the label and management but they never really spoke up for themselves since. Now i doubt they'll see the day (unless they go solo) where they get a decent amount of control of thier work. Unless they have a massive succes again(over a WHOLE campaign)
Finally ordered my copy today off hmv! really hope it doesn't fall too much come Sunday!

what the f*** are you on about?

Yes i realise Mutya was in the band, she's been my favourite member since i first saw the Round Round Video in 2002. The woman can do no wrong, i am #TeamMutya until i die.

Mutya was stunning, her album was brilliant with the exception of the god awful remixed versions of This Is Not Real Love and Paperbag. Her demo's were sublime and she has done some fantastic collabs since. Her vocals are lush, she is one of the best vocalists this country has ever seen. [see Fast Car]

And Amelle is not on the writing credits on the album for Strung Out. It is a rumour that has never been anything more.

2 things i can't stand in this forum. Moronic, loon-driven and poorly research hatred of Mutya. And undermining her quite obvious talent under the disguise she was 'ugly' or you don't like her vocals [which there is nothing wrong with, but each to their own]

:( it saddens me to say you're completely correct.

She definitely took the RnB edge with her, which really set them apart from the other Girl Bands.

As much as i like Sweet7, it's so generic in parts. It's kinda :( to think that this is the same girl band that gave us Overload, Round Round, Freak, Stronger, Hole In The Head, It Ain't Easy, Switch et al.
