I think we must admit now that the Sugababes are pretty over unless they have some other hidden cards in their pockets. And I even doubt that the album would do a lot better with Keisha: if they had a killer song like 'Push the Button', almost everyone would forgot about another line-up change and would praise the single/album. It happened with 'About you now' / 'Change'. But then they had 'Girls' and the album has semi-flopped sales/peak-wise and totally flopped by their standards.

 

But they don't have a HUGE song on the album, and the culmination was predictable, with Keisha, or without her. Of course, with Keisha they'd go top5 or even better but then they'd die off like Get Sexy was falling in the charts: quickly enough to be forgotten in two months. With Jade this die-off is going to be even quicker.

 

It's a bit pessimistic but I can't see the things either way.

A flop would serves their label right. All those pushbacks, not doing anything when the album leaked four weeks early, lack of promo, etc have come back to bite them on the ass.

It leaked two months ago? Wow. It doesn't seem that long ago.

 

Yeah, the label definetley deserve a flop then.

Yeh push it back was a very bad idea especially 2 weeks after the lead single. Also Miss Everything is in the top 200 on itunes.

 

i think they should be able to get top 10 as seems as they have quite alot of promo lined up. I really don't know what the next move should be in the U.K? I think Crash and Burn could defiently help album sales but they need a bigger hit. I think tey should go Miss Everything next then re-release in a few months or release a new album. But I still think they have good chance of success in europe with this album

The same happened to me. Today my friend and I went into our local HMV because they wanted to buy the album, but the store had no copies.

 

I really hope it climbs by Sunday. :(

Why did they only announce 1 winner of the competition? I thought they were giving away 300 deluxe editions.

Extremly dissapointing :( such a great album! Rather inevitble considering everything though (leaked 2 months before release, constantly being pushed back, bad press, management scre-ups)
