they need to come back with the next big sound not the sound that was big a few months back.

So true, I think they've been trying to hard they need something to come natrually that's why 2.0 were so succesful. I really hope they find the right sound

I was really hoping it would climb into the top 10 today. I think it won't reach it now. :(
Exactly. Sweet 7 sounds outdated because it's very unoriginal. And instead of setting the trend (like the kinda used to) they're now following a sound that has been done before and that has been done better (I'm not talking about Gaga lol).
I think it may still climb they still have promo slots, If they perform a ballad on Alan Titchmarsh it will definetly help. Hopefully they're on Sports Relief
heard the new album on itunes. There are a couple of ok songs towards end of the album but overall didnt think it sounded great. I wont be buying it at the moment

I would laugh if this ends up selling less than Siobhan Donaghy's 'Ghosts' album.

Just... wow.

Have anyone seen the top ten sales. I doubt it, I also think you'll be suprised how close they will be. Album sales are also no-existent anymore.

That's horrendous.

Truly horrendous.

I can't help but laugh at how pathetic and pitiful those sales are.

I wonder if they outsell Real Girl and hit the 100k mark?

Bought the album today, its so sad how bad its doing, such a good album aswell.
It's become glaringly obvious that Mutya and Keisha were solely responsible for the bands sound and drive, Mutya took the edge/sound when she left and Keisha took the drive.

I think it's my favourite sentence in this thread or even in this AF I've read. This is the root of the problems. The only thing is that you underestimate Heidi. That's why the line-up 2.0 is called 'golden' (I didn't meet this definition here but in Russia Sugababes 2.0 are called as the Golden Line-Up). Mutya is responsible for the original Suga sound, Keisha is for drive. The 2.0 is 'Golden' because it's a brilliant formula because Heidi brought the group into the mainstream. And we see that:

1.0 is critically acclaimed and writes brilliant stuff but is maybe 'too indie' for buying public hence its moderate sales.

2.0 has every component: sound, drive, pop. Heidi brought the pop sound and they became massive.

3.0 doesn't have a sound, but it still has drive and pop. That's why so many people even then said that 'They ain't that Sugababes' etc. but they were still fairly credible and popular.

And what we see in 4.0? Only pop. And yes, their music now is very mainstream, but it hasn't that drive and unique sound. You can tell that 'Sweet 7' was recorded with Keisha, but maybe that's why she left, it was inevitable in the way of karma if you want, the reason is not materialistic but cosmic, and this cosmic reason appeared in a very materialistic way here: arguments between Keisha and Amelle or something.

Of course, it's a theory related to some reasons from the 4th/5th measurement, but it genially suits the situation of Sugababes.

I love Sugababes and Sweet 7 but they don't deserve to do well really. They aren't promoting their stuff nearly as much as they should.

if the saturdays can reach top 10 im sure sugababes can

but if they release cras n burn it will flop hard and album sales will not rise
