Insider sources have stated that the ISCBK are going 'all out for victory' in the upcoming contest, which will mark the anniversary of the first (and to date, only) victory for Kopečka with La Roux, who earlier finished 25th out of 31 in 'The Best of the Buzzjack Song Contest XI-XX' with Quicksand. Kopečka last month finished 2nd with Dollface's Miss Jamaica, five points behind winners The Dolly Rockers of Lorikeet, where next month's contest will be hosted. The five artists have been announced as follows (with a record three male artists in contention!): Artist S is a male upcoming pop artist who will be competing to represent Kopečka with a track which is directly influenced by Timbaland. Artist A's vocals are reminiscent of Justin Timberlake on a track which, whilst bearing similarities to 'Give It To Me', more than improves upon it with a 'fuzzy, synth-laden chorus' which very much fits into the current pop climate. One reviewer has stated that 'the pop messiah is coming.' Artist M is a male Danish artist who competed in that nation's X Factor. His competing track has been referred to as 'the true sequel to Breathing Your Love...the sign for people to begin to move on from RedOne and instead start to build upon his legacy'. Artist Y is an Australian female who was in contention for another country in their first contest but has never been entered! She recently made a comeback after her massive worldwide debut album's follow-up was never released, and she has a number of tracks which have been submitted to the ISCBK with a view towards representation. Artist X is a Swede female who has frequently been in contention for another country but has never been sent to the contest. Her latest track is an 80s-tastic Robyn-esque romp with a killer chorus. Artist A is an American male who has been the subject to a great deal of blog excitement and chatter over his debut album. He has two tracks in contention for Kopečka - one is an electro-pop-rock stomper which has been described as 'the love-child of Lady GaGa and Freddie Mercury', the other is a pop-rock track penned by P!nk which was originally meant to feature on Funhouse but was dropped after a change in her relationship situation. The artists and songs will be revealed tonight after the opening of the reservation thread, with Kopečekfestivalen! premiering within a few days. -- Virma Kirhassel, ČekB!tch BJSC Correspondent __/\__ Rebel Faction Takes Hold __/\__ Since the overthrow and execution of President Čermet Karasol in the wake of Dead Disco's non-qualification in May and the succession of his political rival (the Head of the ISCBK Trashe Svantselius) to the Presidency, Arremand (also known as South Kopečka), which strongly supported Karasol's presidency, has been in a near-constant state of unrest despite President Svantselius' reforms, which have brought Kopečka's result run into a golden age. Since the non-qualification of Jasmine in July, a rebel faction known as På Vålenkis och gråter så övergivet (commonly abbreviated to På Vålkgov) has been attempting to exploit local ethnic divisions - Arremand is mainly populated by Valenquians, who have Scandinavian roots and descend from Rontvian immigrants during the infamous First Wave of immigration three centuries ago; Valenquians are separated from the rest of the nation both linguistically, culturally and physically due to the wide Čeremall River; conversely, the rest of Kopečka's population is composed of Kopečekers, who are more closely related culturally and linguistically to the Balkans and their emigre offshoots, the Mdičens, than to the Valenquians. Due to the success of the nation in the BJSC, På Vålkgov have had little success in their mission to overthrow the central government and reinstate Karasol's Valenquian-Kopeček coalition party Zpěvförbund (ZFP) in place of Svantselius' Úspěchzdar (UZP) party outside of Arremand, which has been split almost 50-50 in its support for the new government. However, due to recent news of plans to remove regional representation from the selection process for the BJSC, coupled with an unsteady recovery from the near-recession which the Kopeček economy faced post-Jasmine, På Vålkgov's support has been increasing rapidly across the nation and Fort Kasbard, the Arremandian capital, recently declared the På Vålkgov puppet representative Marja Halonen as the winner of its mayoral election (and thereby de facto leader of Arremand, the regional ministers having all been fired after Karasol's overthrow and the positions left vacant under Svantselius). Amidst this backdrop of civil unrest, yesterday Halonen announced a state of martial law throughout Arremand, and made a unilateral declaration of independence stating Arremand to now be under the control of På Vålkgov, and announcing the nation to be known as Čevarik d'Ibis Valenquim, a wholly Valenquian controlled nation with no Kopeček representation. As of yet C.I.V. has not been recognised by any other state in the Buzzjack world, but negotiations are ongoing between the Kopeček government and the Rontvian embassy to persuade the Rontvians to not recognise d'Ibis Valenquim and to instead condemn Halonen's UDI. Halonen's UDI was accompanied by an announcement that, once ready, the Valenquis forces would attempt to 'liberate' the rest of Kopečka by force, one which has been met in equal measure by the rest of the nation with contempt and curiosity. -- Mirvane Hastekjet, Zagorasta Herald's Home Correspondent __/\__ Rebel Faction Rejects Negotiations __/\__ Lena Kalvarsson, the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Čevarik d'Ibis Valenquim, today announced that there would be 'no negotiation' over d'Ibis Valenquim's aspirations over the remainder of Kopečka, and wholeheartedly affirmed C.I.V's allegiance to FSR Rontvia. Leonville and Camtoro today became the first nations to officially recognise C.I.V. over Kopečka, but as of yet no other nations have followed their stance. President Trashe Svantselius has condemned Chancellor Marja Halonen's ambitions as 'a fantasy', and stated: 'I hope that the Valenquis will cease their silly little nation game as soon as they realise that the Kopeček selection process has, with the exception of May and July, been unrivalled in its dedication and attention to detail, and has one of the best success rates out of all of the nations in the BJSC. We are the future of this nation, and Halonen would have us return to the dark ages of the Karasolite selection process which ran out of inspiration after a year. The Svantselian process promotes intelligent ideas rather than just new ones, and we will continue to select the hottest future pop songs as long as we participate in the Buzzjack Song Contest.' Halonen was unavailable for response but insider sources state that she expressed a private surprise that Svantselius considered just one semi-final qualifier from TBO to be a success. -- Mirvane Hastekjet, Zagorasta Herald's Home Correspondent __/\__ XXIII Potential Candidates __/\__ After Adam Lambert's half-expected flop, which triggered a massive expansion for Čevarik d'Ibis Valenquim (to the extent that they now control almost all of Kopečka with the exception of the capital), Trashe Svantselius is taking one last roll of the dice to secure his country and his future, and is going with an epic male risk - a track from the precursors to currently hyped HURTS, Daggers: wwAi_4FAkDE __/\__ bjsc_twentyfour// CANDIDATES __/\__ Kopečka, having managed to repel the Valenquis forces from the capital in the wake of Bon Iver's respectable top twenty placing in B.a.N.G., are relaunching the fight for top nation of 2010 starting with _twentyfour//. November 17, 200915 yr Long time allies Ashton, while favouring the ZFP over the UZP, condemns the actions of C.I.V and has offered to be an intermediary party in an attempt to reunite the faction with Kopecka. Please rate each one out of ten and I will review your prospective tracks in return ^_^
November 18, 200915 yr Adam Lambert – Whataya Want From Me? 9.0/10 A LOT better than his other song. I can see potential to grow as well, this might be a 9.5 in 2 or 3 days. :kink: Linda Sundblad – 2 All My Girls 6.0/10 Nice pop song but not more. Simon Curtis – Delusional 3.0/10 Does nothing for me. Mohamed Ali – Satellite 2.5/10 Exactly the kind of song I don't like. ;) Adam Lambert – For Your Entertainment 2.0/10 I really really dislike it when the background „beat“ is louder so it's hard to hear the actual voice of the singer. This is the case in this song and it's very annoying. It would be great if you could comment on some of my potential entries here as well. ;)

November 18, 200915 yr Adam - Amazing, love this sort of stuff. I actually really liked FYE to but you dropped it now  Actually this is the first time i'm listening to Adam Lambert. Yet to hear Kris Allen :kink: 8.5/10 Linda - Catchy as f***. The best song in this pile undoubtedly. Will blow the 8th place again with it. :kink: 9/10 Mohamed - I feel like a pervy p**** watching him there. Really. :( He is supposed to sing happy child stuff with sun shining, happy life etc. I may be weird. 4/10 Simon (thank god not Cowell) - At first i found this generic but towards the end it grew on me a little, would be a bad choice for an entry tbh imo. 7/10 Right, don't you dare not comment my entries, otherwise 0 in the contest until the end of time :smoke: Yes... what you expected...!!?!! :kink;D
