This month is seeing the joint-worst result for Elëdan. If in the next 5 contests the country DNQs more than one time then LI-LX will officially be the least successful era Elëdan had in BJSC since XI-XX (4 DNQs between XI and XVI inclusive).

 

So Max Bruch's composition totalled 33 points from 6 countries and finished 22nd. The first two times this country finished 22nd in Semifinal was with Hande Yener (which also accumulated 33 points) in BJSC15 and Pyramids + Horseback in BJSC41 (22 points). However, points-wise the record for least points still belongs to A Throne Without a King (Semifinal) and the debut entry, Kolybelnaya by Polina Gagarina (Final). The latter finished last having scored 22 points.

 

The country's best results are the famous 3 wins in BJSC5, BJSC11 and BJSC44. However, these were not th best results points-wise. Most points were collected by 9th-placed Stoffer & Maskinen in BJSC26 and a near-win of iamamiwhoami in BJSC43. Both came home with 180 points. Ronya, who won BJSC44, came back with 178 points while the folow-up to Stoffer & Maskinen, Crystal Castles, managed to collect 173 points.

Today the first BJSC56 reject has been announced. The EBJSCC had internally chosen to send J Pee and the novelty song 'I'm Not Gay' to BJSC56 but the singer declined after having agreed to represent Eledan in the next BJSC a week ago.

War on Caerfyrddia and D'yermak'er?

 

Speculation and rumours reach the boiling point as the nation blames the two countries for their DNQ in BJSC56. The unlucky draw in the Semifinal was one of the major reasons for the DNQ, with D'yermak'er being "hoes" and awarding Eledan with a mere 6 points while full 12 would've guaranteed their qualification for the Final.

 

As opposed to these two countries, despite the scandal, Eledan keep voting fairly and with no bias whatsoever. In the history of the contest Caerfyrddia received 2 sets of 12/18 points (BJSC30 & 49) and D'yermak'er 1 set of 12 points (BJSC54) from Eledan with only Caerfyrddia giving the biggest marks to the nation (the latest 12's include both of iamamiwhoami's play and t) out of the two troublemakers.

 

"D'yermak'er? They are hoes", said Queen Lee in yesterday's press conference.

An official BJSC survey asked people all around the world about which country they thought sent the most inspired entries in the past two years. Three-time winners Elëdan finished second to Syndare who in 18 contests have never recycled any act that was sent to BJSC before as a main artist. Elëdan celebrating their 55th contest this month have recycled their own entrant only once, iamamiwhoami 't' earlier this year (BJSC54), and 6 artists sent by other people. In order of appearance: Natasha Bedingfield (7), Shakira (18), Tiësto (21), The Knife (25), Crystal Castles (27) and Serebro (32).

 

FSR Rontvia placed 3rd but Aquafina and Scruvonvonia shared last position with 0 votes each.

Admittedly we did recycle a few before that (Kid Sister/Estelle was HORRIFICALLY uninspired, Jónsi was second-hand from you (no regrets), Penguin Prison was kinda recycled but I'm letting myself off for that because I gave Theo the earlier PP song and Spark had also been sent but flopped before 'Revolving'). But that's still a shorter list than yours ~

 

Also what bad timing to call yourself INSPIRED when Ruby Goe has just had a UK top 40 hit :o

I haven't recycled anyone's artist since BJSC32 (i.e. 26 contests ago) so I doubt I'll start doing that anytime soon~
