I've only just watched the 'I Was Here' video, and I have to say that I love it - a very simple concept, but also very powerful for the song itself, and the perfect video for it! I think the song definitely showcases Beyoncé's most vulnerable/moving vocal to-date.

The 'Dance for You' video, I'm not so sold on. Perhaps because it's not my favourite song from the album, but on first watch, that video is my least favourite video from it too. I just find it strange that she's there, dancing for a creepy old guy, when the song's clearly written for/about Jay-Z. A disappointing end to a great collection of videos from the album.

4 - #25

The world's shrewdest diva turns on her star power full blast, indulges her oddball side and flaunts her mastery of seemingly every modern pop mode – from the riotous hiphop love ode "Countdown" to the sweet, faux-Stevie retrosoul ditty "Love on Top" to the futuristic stomper "Run the World (Girls)".

"Countdown" - #8

A triumphal love song, slathered in crazy sauce: marching-band drums, backward-counting backup singers, honking horns and that weird-ass "boof-boof!" hook.

Beyoncé - 4

We weren't sure about this the first time we heard it but now it's definitely one of our favourites of the year. With a more grown up sound than we're use to, Beyoncé stayed away from the safe, familiar sounds a lot of mainstream artists are choosing at the moment, went wild with Diplo for "Run the World (Girls)" and stamped her empowering style all over it. With ballads pulled from the core of her heart, faster tracks to evoke the good times, and some perfectly judged mid-tempo tunes, this is a wonderful coming-of-age record from mum-to-be B.

Oh my god, Grammys performance? That would be amazing and something to rival Adele's Someone Like You at the BRITs

Aw, a Grammy performance for 'I Was Here' would've been amazing! I wonder what it could be though... :o
I hope it's not a music video, for it 'I Was Here' is released as a single, the live at Roseland performance is the only thing they could chose.

Behind Britney (I assume) and who else?

Great that she won at least one though - most of the videos from 4 were excellent, but not usually the thing that would be honoured. I'm guessing "Best Thing..." was nominated last year, hence no awards for it?

I think Britney's only won 6 VMAs. I know she's been nominated for double that though!
