This album is such a disaster already (by her own high standards). You can bet your gran that there'll be a reissue containing some actual hits within about six months.

It really is. You have to really WONDER WHY too. Record labels are complaining about piracy, loss of earnings etc but when you have a team such as hers at Colombia so blatantly and arrogantly dis-attached from the music purchasing world that one struggles to have any real sympathy. To compose an album and release tracks which have garnered little to any positive reception. One has to wonder "are you listening to what the rest of us are listening too?" / "Is this your idea of what people WANT from Beyoncé in 2011?". Firing out a million and one tracks not only looks tacky and shows a lack of vision for the project but when you continue to release tracks with the same flaws as the ones that have come before them it shows an ignorance to your target market and a certain ignorance also. Either way it's ended up looking as you've said Jack, like a disaster. An embarrassing one at that.

I'm torn between two notions; one that Beyoncé is taking herself "seriously" with this record and the other that Beyoncé is being "self-indulgant" with this record. I suspect it's a stellar hybrid of the two.

Party actually puts me in mind of Ego. I think I like it? There's a pretty little groove going on there but it's obviously not great or anything. André 3000 is uncharacteristically awful on it mind.

THE REST.

This isn't an attack on you personally Jamie but what would it take for you NOT to like one of her songs? This is hardly BONAFIDE music in pretty much anybody else's eyes

She has plenty of songs that I don't really like (half of Dangerously in Love for example), but I actually quite like "Party" for its 90s feel. For me personally, I think this album is shaping up to be her best one yet. All the songs she's released have been fantastic and I'm loving the direction she's gone with this album.

No mam! Party may be another 4/10 but he is the best thing about it. I'm really embarrassed for the Beyoncé stans right now, everything about this era has been completely throwaway.

Best I Never Had reminds me of Hello. I was racking my brain for a about half an hour trying to compare it to a previous song
I'm pretty sure the entire album has leaked (sigh), but you can listen to "Countdown" here.

I actually really like 'Countdown', definitely one of the strongest so far.

The whole '10...9...8' thing is annoying though!

Countdown is okay... there was some potential there but the actual countdown parts are a total travesty! And it's very shouty.
Someone deleted their post i see

Yes it was me... I was wrong with what I said, so I deleted it.

It's leaked? Really :o I'll check it out ASAP - so excited
I've downloaded and the file I have is real! Rate coming after Hollyoaks and EE :D

After one listen, i'm underwhelmed. Not happy with only 3 up-tempos 'Countdown', 'End of Time' and 'Run The World (Girls)', and the rest being mid-tempo/ballads. I MUCH prefer the fierce Bey, although 'I Was Here' is STUNNING.

01 Run The World (Girls)

02 Countdown

03 I Was Here

04 Best Thing I Never Had

05 End of Time

06 I Care
