What are some things you do to express your fandom? I buy her singles and albums. How long have you been a fan? 10years+ Has she inspired you? In what ways? Not me... Did you stick by her when she went through her rough stage? Explain. Yes. Definately. I would stick up for her if I thought people were attacking her when we were talking about her and stuff. It's not nice to see someone get the mick taken out of them when they're clearly in that sort of state Has your fandom ever caused any tension/conflicts in your personal relationships (ie. Family, friends, etc.) Haha No What do your friends and family think about your fandom? They don't care really LOL. My dad shouldn't be against me liking her seeing as it was him that got me into her LOL Does your experience with fandom shape your social life? What do you mean? The only time it does interfere with my social life is when we're talking about her and I stick up for her Have you been to any of her concerts? How many? Yep. One in June this year [2009] How many hours per week do you spend your time expressing your fandom? Dunno... I listen to her quite a bit, but I can't say I know an exact time LOL On average, how much money do you spend on your fandom per month? Depends when she has new singles/albums and stuff. Do you own any Britney merchandise? If so, what? Yeah. Her tour book (If that counts) What is your favorite Britney song and why? 'Everytime' - It was released at a very tough time for me and it got me through that particular time, so it means alot Describe the feeling you get when you hear her music. I dunno. When I hear a ballad form her I get goosebumps, because it's a rarity that we get ballads from her LOL Are you more fascinated by her personal life or her professional life? Why? Professional. Because I think she should just be left alone to have a normal personal life. It's called "personal" for a reason. Do you see her as a role model? Explain. I see her as a role model to other people. I can see why girls want/wanted to be like her. Will you introduce Britney’s music to your children? I will if they're interested in what I listened to when I was younger. November 24, 200915 yr What does it mean to you to be a fan of Britney Spears? It means alot to me because I have been a fan of hers since she first came on the scene in late 1998. I fell in love with not only her talent and her music but also her personality, Britney is one of the few celebs that make you feel as if you actually know her on a personal level without actually ever meeting her ever. Being a fan means sticking with an artist through the good and bad, which I have done. What are some things you do to express your fandom? I go to all of her tours, buy all of her singles and albums, moderate the Britney Spears forum here. :lol: How long have you been a fan? 11+ years. Has she inspired you? In what ways? Through her will to not give up Did you stick by her when she went through her rough stage? Explain. Yes. After she divorced Kevin and had her breakdown, I think it made me like her even more, because it proved more to the reality that she really is just a human being and not this perfect pop star that people thought she was before. 2007 was a rough year to be a Britney fan, but it was so amazing to see her get through it. Not to mention it gave us the masterpiece known as 'BLACKOUT'! Has your fandom ever caused any tension/conflicts in your personal relationships (ie. Family, friends, etc.) I got into an argument about buying front row tickets with my mom, she thought I should use it for something else. But it was my money so I won. What do your friends and family think about your fandom? They think it's funny. And when they think of Britney Spears, they think of me. lol. Does your experience with fandom shape your social life? No not really. Have you been to any of her concerts? How many? Yes. 4. Once for DWAD, Once for OHT. And two times for the Circus tour. How many hours per week do you spend your time expressing your fandom? Probably, lmfao... like 7-10 hours a week, assuming that includes online fandom. lol. On average, how much money do you spend on your fandom per month? Well this year I have spent over $1000 dollars from seeing her tour twice and buying merchandise. so I'd say $75? Do you own any Britney merchandise? If so, what? Too much to name, you have no idea. Almost every magazine cover she has ever been on, all her albums, posters, tour books, pepsi promo cutouts. Professional collages. It builds up. What is your favorite Britney song and why? Baby One More Time - It's what made me fall in love with her as an artist. Describe the feeling you get when you hear her music. I can be so f***ing depressed and when I hear Britney, I forget what I'm upset about and just enjoy the music. She's liek my escape in a way... Are you more fascinated by her personal life or her professional life? Why? Both. I love everything she has done professionally from her music, to her acting, to her fragrances. And I find her personal life fascinating because she is such a HUGE pop icon yet she seems so down to earth. Do you see her as a role model? Explain. Yes, for young adults atleast. No matter what $h!t people are giving you, keep your priorities in focus and you want fall off track. I have truly learned that from Britney. Will you introduce Britney’s music to your children? DUH. What are some things you do to express your fandom? A lot. Every party/club I request her and dance. Must listen to her 20 times a day. How long have you been a fan? Well really since she came onto the music scene, so 11 years? Has she inspired you? In what ways? She has inspired me in many ways: a young girl from a small town with a big dream and that dream happened and that's exactly (I hope) what'll happen to me. She's been to hell & back and yet she's still amazing, and her life is exposed to me just as much as my own so really I feel she's part of my life. Did you stick by her when she went through her rough stage? Explain. Of course, it showed how normal she was. Even a celebrity has bad times. Has your fandom ever caused any tension/conflicts in your personal relationships (ie. Family, friends, etc.) No because people respect me for what I like, why shouldn't they? I have been known to argue with them about her lip-syncing though. What do your friends and family think about your fandom? My family think I'm delusional, but to most people I'm known as her #1 fan. Does your experience with fandom shape your social life? Not particularly. Have you been to any of her concerts? How many? I went to see The Circus Starring Britney Spears. Wish I'd gone more than once; amazing show. How many hours per week do you spend your time expressing your fandom? About 13? On average, how much money do you spend on your fandom per month? Depends what she's done, so I'm gonna say £20. Maybe more though. Do you own any Britney merchandise? If so, what? 2x Britney dolls, all her CDs (minus The Singles Collection) 4x of her DVDs, pretty much every magazine cover she's been on since 2006 and posters :wub: What is your favorite Britney song and why? Everytime. For the queen of pop this takes her to another level. Describe the feeling you get when you hear her music.
