April 29, 201114 yr Sorry :P Did not listen to her album so I have nothing to say about it. I really don't like her single Real Girl and Song 4 Mutya didn't do anything for me either so there went my interest.

April 29, 201114 yr I remember Mutya getting the #1 on my last.fm chart on two occasions. 1. when I discovered the demos, and 2. when I listened to the album. But the second one was purely by default to be honest. I was a little underwhelmed by the lead single. I liked it but it didn't blow my mind away. 'Song 4 Mutya' was brilliant and kind of saved it for me. Also really loved 'Strung Out' (had it been released as a third single Mutya possibly would have released her next album via Island by now!) and 'Breakdown Motel' Oh, and demo for 'Paperbag' is much more classy than the album version which is kind of bland, I agree with you. Overall I listened to this album a lot but wasn't it by Mutya and had I listened it this year for the first time (my last.fm additional play count is just like British album sales: it is getting lower and lower each year) it would probably just scrape the 100 plays for the whole album, 30-40 of them would've been 'Song 4 Mutya' and about 20-30 - 'Strung Out'. April 29, 201114 yr Author My last.fm has Mutya on nearly 1300 plays vs the Sugababes 5700. [23800 total] She was my first play [Paperbag] and 500th play [Just A Little Bit] She's my 3rd most played artist of the last year [sugababes #1] so i still adore the album and the demo's
May 2, 201114 yr Bizarrely, a guy next to me on the tube earlier (and it was packed so everybody's iPod was practically shoved in my face) was listening to Mutya's version of Fast Car from the Radio 1 Established comp - he obviously shares the unfashionable view that it's better than Tracy Chapman's
