Gosh Jonjo I'm expecting between #23-#27 tomorrow!
I know #23 - #27 is more likely, but I'm still getting an image of seeing...

Top 10:

9 Leona Lewis

HAHA! (Maybe it's just wishful thinking LOL)

I fully expect OMH to be next. Leona wants it so I'm sure it will coincide with the tour.

Won't the impending flop of this single and the fact it's doing practically nothing to sell the album throw it into jeopardy though?

Hopefully not - epecially with tour coming up they'd be mad not to get it out there. They need to realise it's what public want and they fked up.

Her album sales in the UK are great. Yes it would be nice to sell more but right now it shouldn't be a priority when choosing singles.

What Leona needs right now is some buzz around her again. Outta My Head is the only song on the album that could reignite that as it's unexpected and different for her. I can't see them not releasing a third single and OMH really is the only sensible choice. Plus it was being lined up as second before they swapped to IGY so hopefully they won't be stupid and choose another song.

One inside top 20 in mids today.

Surprised to see overnight climbs on iTunes for single version.

Now got - #31 and #44. Shame not just one higher but every sale helps right now I suppose lol!

Now 32 and 40 :D

Does anyone know how high up this puts her, when the pop bars are combined? :w00t:

About #16. :)

Around 16 but other songs have 2nd versions so actually around #20 taking this into consideration.
Its a shame this isnt charting higher as i think its a far far better track than happy, i hope it can manage top 15 come sunday but top 10 would be nicer.

Radio 1 email regarding playlist:

BBC Radio 1 has been a very strong supporter of Leona Lewis since she was launched to stardom on X-Factor. However, we have to continually assess the relevance of every song and artist before we decide how far to support them on the Radio 1 playlist.

Leona’s first single from her latest album, ‘Happy’, received strong A list rotation, but our music research indicated that a significant proportion of our audience strongly disliked the track.

The Radio 1 playlist team make decisions based on a combination of objective information and subjective opinion and it was decided that ‘I Got You’ was not strong enough to warrant anything more than C list rotation. We will monitor the progress of the track carefully, both in terms of its chart position and with our audience research panel to make sure we are rotating the song at the appropriate level.

So basically Happy - which sold more than most of the tripe they play - put them off supporting IGY.

I wonder who this audience research panel consits off.

But 'I Got You' is completely different to 'Happy' and is ALOT more radio friendly. I don't get their logic. Maybe it really is too "Radio 2" for them, but they just didn't want to say...

Yup they're being very narrow-minded. IGY is nothing like Happy really but they are lumping them both together. OMH is the only song that is blatantly different in sound so they have to go with it next.

or 'Naked' :kink:

True. Although knowing R1, the slow start of Naked before the first chorus will make them class it as the same as Happy and IGY.

LMFAO! Probably LOLOLOL!

I really am baffled to that... shouldn't they be appealing to ALL members of the public and not just the "Commitee" or whatever it is they wanna call it?!

Radio 1's playlist deciding people really are a pain sometimes :( Doesnt really leave me feeling too confident about support for the third single from Echo.
