I was just wondering. I know Robbie Williams 'you know me' had a short period at No10, but it doesn't look like it will be going back there, to get him into official chart top 10 unfortunately

Marmaduke Duke - Rubber Lover

Reached #7 on iTunes but peaked at #12

Edited by BrayFish

Usually happens to one or two songs towards the end of the week, and it will probably happen with Timbaland and Pixie this week.
Didn't Circus hit the top ten on itunes? But it peaked at #13 on the official chart...
It's happened loads of times? Like literally a few hundred times a year.

No it's not common.

I checked the ITUNES CHART since September 13th and the only ones found are:

Daughtry - What About Now

Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.

Robbie Williams - You Know Me

Daughty and Miley Cyrus made #11. Robbie Williams made #17 but most likely hasn't peaked yet.

No it didnt. It got to no.12 on iTunes!

I think most songs that just miss the top 10 must do it.

Jennifer Hudson - Spotlight made it. I remember she was released the same week as Will Young with "Changes" and she was ahead of him as some point, but he made top 10 in the official and she didn't.

I seem to remember Ida Maria "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" being top 10 for one update before being pushed out. I think it was at #11 and kept getting leapfrogged at one point.

But yeah, I think it's probably quite common.

Sean Kingston - Fire Burning

I remember this hitting iTunes #9 at the weekend but never made higher than #12 at the official chart.

The Climb did too i think

I think it was #10 combined with two versions charting in the Top 40?

But as for the version charting higher than the other, it never did it methinks.
