Posted December 2, 200915 yr American Idol has made a big mistake by tampering with the great chemistry they had on the show between the judges and Ryan. I have watched the show from Season #1 and I can tell you Paula Abdul will be missed big time. Paula's wonderful personality and sincerity as a judge is truly important to the success of the show. I truly hope American Idol will reconsider and give Paula her job back. The show will just not be the same or as successful without Paula. If American Idol doesn't bring her back I am sure they will find out the hard way in due time that Paula Abdul was an irreplaceable ingredient to the show's success. -------------------- tv show online Edited December 19, 200915 yr by jhoinsmath
December 14, 200915 yr I thought Paula left of her own accord? So did I...something about negotiations...probably about her salary.
December 28, 200915 yr Paula was/is the worst judge I think Ive ever come across in any reality tv show, If a judge can't actually judge when someone is not very good and instead says things like "pass" its beyond a joke, I for one am very much looking forward to seeing the celeb guest judges and Ellen Degeneres. thank god Paula has left!

December 28, 200915 yr She was a bit crazy and drunk, but I understand what the OP means by sincere. I often got the impression Paula cared deeply about some of the contestants, moreso than Randy (one of the best reailty judges, very level headed and honest, IMO) or Simon (££). That said, she was vague at best. I'd also agree with the chemistry, though. The judges on AI are subtle, and the show is all about the contestants, which is significantly more than can be said for the X Factor, hence I prefer AmIdol 10 times over to X, which is way too much about the judges glory over the contestants. That could all change with the guest judges and Ellen, though.
January 2, 201015 yr Sorry, how much $$ does Simon make from AmIdol?! Let's consider that if we're deciding who on the panel is greedy...
January 2, 201015 yr I'd want more, if I was part of the team making Simon that much money tbf. Like her or not, she was a big part of AmIdol's charm, it's just bad business to not get what you're worth. Imagine landing a company a $1million account, and only being paid $25,000. Just bad business.
January 4, 201015 yr I cant believe they even show american idol in the UK. i think it is dreadful and not the same standard as the X factor which should be shown in the Us as they would have a shock. Did you see last series winner? ... My point proven! oh and paula abdul was a great judge it will be boring without her. Edited January 4, 201015 yr by Jmh123
January 6, 201015 yr You can't really discredit Idol for having Kris Allen as one of it's winners, X Factor produced Steve Brook$h!te!! Paula was not a good judge, she was nice to the contestants, that's about it. She talked no sense whatsoever.

February 13, 201015 yr Paula left because she wanted to leave. Why there is so much discussion about it.
