here is RATM performing earlier: http://www.bbc.co.uk/5live/ so awesome seeing them playing in such high quality video, best quality since the reunion, shame it wasnt the whole song, sadly they bleep it in the video.

The original upload of that has been removed due to a copyright claim by the BPI...

Here's a reupload:

OK, to avoid any more fights, I close this topic.

I don't think it's a life or death question if RATM or Joe whatever is number 1. And in 2 days we will know wh it'll be.

PS: open again, will be closed though if off topic fights start again.

Shocking! Whilst we're here...

DON'T FORGET TO SURGE WITH RAGE AT 1PM AND 11PM! THE LAST PUSH TO KEEP THE X-FACTOR FROM NO.1!

How come people are saying to downloading the whole 5 search results on the Nokia Ovi? I understand an additional different live version would be allowed, but it looks to me like several of the results are just exact duplicates, so aren't they just going to just get the lot disqualified for multiple buying?

Just heard a website called Daily source claim:

Basing on downloads and friday sales, Rage are 30K ahead of Joe, didnt say about today though

Don't get your hopes up, though, its likely lies

I wouldnt be surprised if RATM has already been disqualified, the amount of people who say they are multiple buying.

Infact looking at the chart rules on OCC website, this whole campaign already brakes chart rules. http://www.theofficialcharts.com/docs/Offi...gust%202009.pdf

I quote from OCC chart rules

1.0 Genuine Sales

1.1

All sales information used to compile the Chart must be recorded as a result of a genuine purchase by a genuine

consumer.

No record company, distributor, retailer, Artist or other party should act or encourage others to act in any

way designed to distort, or which has the effect of distorting the Chart by achieving a higher or lower Chart position for a record than it would otherwise achieve.

Actions which will be considered a breach of these rules include:

1) promoting the sale of any record by supplying a dealer with records by another artist free of charge or

upon terms more favourable than would be the case but for that promotion;

2) purchasing records or causing records to be purchased other than as a genuine consumer purchase;

3) multiple purchases of records on behalf of other persons,

how do they inforce the rules? Ban the single altogether from the chart?

Yes thats what usually happens, however this doesnt happen until the final chart is revealed, banned singles would still appear in midweek sales flashes

Here lads... You may wish RATM to be banned because of multiple purchases. But consider... where is the proof?? Take a look at this: :D

Quote:

'An official link with the UK Official Charts company has released a statement today that Joe's single in serious risk of being pulled from the charts. Photographic evidence of people buying multiple copies of the single could grant the single as being dropped from the charts all together. The UK Charts company take this issue very seriously and if enough evidence is found the single could even be canceled after the official chart show result.

There are also reports that the X-Factor brand are in serious breach of the chart rules and have been sabotaging things to get their sales up.'

Where is this from?

It's most likely fake, this quote is taken from nowhere. It's no news people are buying multiple copies of singles. And I have always read that if you buy multiple copies at the same time, it only counts as one single copy - therefore it wouldn't make it disqualified, since it does count for one sale anyway.

On the other hand, Tom Morello has obviously broken the OCC rules by calling people to do the free Nokia thingy.
