December 9, 200915 yr Well... apparently TiP said over on the back-up site, that Michael Buble has denied these "rumours" as he is apparently in Germany promoting... however, he could have been told to keep it a secret, to make it a "surprise" on the night...
December 10, 200915 yr Just heard on Radio 5 Live from the X-Factor news conference the guests are according to Simon Cowell: Joe + George Michael Stacey + Michael Buble Olly + Robbie Williams I think we can safely officially say that Stacey has been shafted and is now virtually guaranteed elimination on Saturday night in 3rd with that pairing. :(
December 10, 200915 yr I'm not sure 'we can safely say that' at all - Buble is pretty huge amongst the housewife demographic isn't it? To me it seems like Joe has drawn the short straw but whatever.

Yeah soon as I saw the list it looked to me like Cowell was rigging it for an Olly win Robbie Williams will likely win it for Olly tbh George Michael is damaged goods now and had his time a decade ago, Michael Buble won't get teenage girls picking up the phone Take That fans and Robbie fans have pretty much assured Olly the win now like Kylie did for Leon 1) Olly 2) Joe 3) Stacey
December 10, 200915 yr Well... if Joe & George do 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down' then I wouldn't be so sure... TiP do you have an odds update now the acts have been confirmed?
December 10, 200915 yr Hmm it is hard to say really. Buble is very popular at the moment but would his fans be the type that would vote for Stacey just because he performed with her? With George it is hard to know but as Joe is already favourite to win, with a great performance I doubt that will change. Robbie definatly has the largest fanbase and appeals to a much wider range of ages to Michael and George but Olly is the least favourite to win. I still think Joe will win easily with a great performance of Don't Let The Sun go down on Me. George may have alot of problems but he can still belt out a tune very well which is all Joe needs as he is the most popular contestent. Olly will prob be second now though. I wonder if we will find out the duet songs by Saturday? Edited December 10, 200915 yr by Scotty
December 10, 200915 yr I honestly think they should scrap the duets, it's just unfair. Stacey has been shafted good and proper :(
December 10, 200915 yr I agree with James, it totally manipulates who will win. Like I said before, I'm pretty sure Leon & Alexandra got a voting boosts because of who they were with (Kylie/Beyoncé)
December 10, 200915 yr Well... if Joe & George do 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down' then I wouldn't be so sure... TiP do you have an odds update now the acts have been confirmed? Yes, I've just looked on Betfair right now and compared it with what it was 24 Hrs ago, so spot the difference: Latest Odds (Yesterday afternoon odds) X-Factor 2009 Winner: Joseph 2/5 odds on (1/3 odds on) Olly 4/1 (5/1) Stacey 6/1 (5/1) I think it is clear Simon has done what he can to put Olly right back in the race, and ensure an all male final two come Sunday which is exactly what he wants. Backing up my suspicion that he is severely damaging Stacey & Dannii's chances of victory by pairing her with Michael Buble.
December 10, 200915 yr Oh no! :( I am really hoping Michael Buble is telling the truth about touring in Germany, but Simon is just using him as a scapegoat sorta thing, to make it more of a surprise about who she is really duetting with! But that's just wishful thinking :( Simon said this would be the biggest final yet last week on X-Tra Factor, but inviting two guests who have already been on the shows this year, it's looking likely to be the least interesting!
December 10, 200915 yr Two confirmed duets songs: Olly + Robbie - 'Angels' Joe + George - 'Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me' Apparently JLS are performing at somepoint and we have expect a 'very special surprise'
December 10, 200915 yr OLLY FOR THE WIN. It'd be awesome!!! ;D Don't care if he doesn't have a career following this (potential) success, just the fact an OVER 25 wins is good (i'd not like Simon to be happy though :( )
December 10, 200915 yr ^ Yep Louis just said that on Irish TV. He also confirmed Macca will be on as well. Not sure about Rob and Olly doing Angels, Id perfer it to be something upbeat to enable an energetic performance. Considering Kylie has sung Kids with Dannii in the past I think it would be a good choice for two males, although I supose Angels is the obvious choice and I am sure Simon insisted on it
December 10, 200915 yr Two confirmed duets songs: Olly + Robbie - 'Angels' Joe + George - 'Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me' Apparently JLS are performing at somepoint and we have expect a 'very special surprise' Olly would suck at Angels, he hasn't the power to deal with the power "and through it all....." note unless he will leave that to Robbie Would have thought something like Rock DJ or Supreme would suit him more Joe will absolutely nail Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
December 10, 200915 yr Olly would suck at Angels, he hasn't the power to deal with the power "and through it all....." note unless he will leave that to Robbie Would have thought something like Rock DJ or Supreme would suit him more Joe will absolutely nail Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me Rock DJ has been performed twice by Jedward though and doesnt involve much singing. Forgot about Supreme. That would be perfect. Simon probably indisted ont he predictable option though. I assume Olly will have to sing the first chorus anyway, as I doubt Robbie will appear on stage until the second verse. Same with the others. I bet Stacey will do What A Wonderufl world with Michael Buble as she sang that in her audition and he has covered it as far as I know.

Yeah I think Olly would nail Supreme tbh, my fave Robbie song too by some distance
December 10, 200915 yr I think we just have to wait to see who Dermot says on the night tbh. I don't think the duets will be that much of a difference in the final result as they will be on Saturday and the final results on the Sunday. Also I wouldn't be surprised if by biggest final ever he means loads of guest stars because 4 hours is a lot of time to fill.
