[204] 159| Future Hitmakers - Fireflies (As made famous by Owl City)

:o

Fireflies is gonna be so huge.

I hope so, it's a great song! :D

I love this record, and the Toy Story inspired video. Future No 1 I hope..

Yeah, it's fantastic. I didn't like it at first but it's slowly becoming one of my favourite songs.

I think theres a strong chance of #1, though even I'm surprised how high the fake version is already, is it being played anywhere yet? I fully expect them to release the digital version by the end of January, otherwise the fake version will chart very high.
Erm, on R1, It's Ferne Cotton's record of the week. :)

Amazon and hmv still have KITN no. 1, Climb no. 2, BR 3.
'Fireflies' is good but I wish people would just listen to The Postal Service instead. :manson:

THANK YOU

All these people who think it's 'such a unique song' (no one here has said that but I've seen it elsewhere) need to have a listen to them tbh. Gaga gaining on Joe I see! :o Glad to see Rage holding up a lot better than I thought they would!

God Owl City are vomit inducing. :/ Ben Gibbard for 12 year olds.

Ah well, luckily I couldn't give two $h!ts about the charts. And don't live in the UK/listen to the radio here.

Ben Gibbard for 12 year olds.

Who or what is Ben Gibbard :manson:

Who or what is Ben Gibbard :manson:

The lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie / The Postal Service, of which Owl City is a blatant ripoff.

:manson: to you, too.

The Owl City guy is 12?!?!? Seriously?

Well I am sorry for not knowing about a band with a stupid name 99.9% of the population has never heard of.

And double :manson: :manson: to you too buddy. With whipped cream and a couple of cherries on top.

The Postal Service?

That is definitely not true. 98%, 99% maybe... but definitely not 99.9%. But then, you're on a music forum, that's a specific crowd, probably much higher rates of recognition around here.

Anyway I think the point people are trying to make is you might like them, if you like Owl City, which is certainly true. http://www.last.fm/music/The+Postal+Servic...ights?autostart

While I have the opportunity to pimp a friend, too, Josh Doyle [ex-DumDums] is always getting Postal Service comparisons - some of their fans will no doubt think somewhat kindly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDc7baTOLOM
