Is Parachute Cheryls 3rd single ?

JLS are doing a takeover show on radio 1.. and are playing it..said it was their favourite song on the album and want it to be the next single..

So just wondering if it is

Same with Leona, Alexandra and everyone else. You're not going to get anyone as interesting as Will Young or Girls Aloud from X Factor. Too much money to be lost if you try something different.

He said that they weren't interesting, not that they're average....

Leona is very good singer, but her songs are boring(not all, of course,.and she has no personality, such as cheryl. And in today's music personality is an important thing, often more important than voice quality.

To be fair, that isn't what they said. It is a compliment to Alexandra/Leona that they are such bankable stars. I think the point was that Will Young and Girls Aloud were more of a risk, neither were the favourite in their respective shows and both took time to get a very unique sound. When Leona won there was no doubting that she was going to sell massive amounts.

Exactly.. I understand people dont like them.. but you have to admit they are doing well.. like them or not

2 number 1 singles & number 1 album.. 2 Mobos etc.. in less than a year

I guess it depends what you like then. From what you've said, i get the impression you prefer up-tempos but i love the lyrics in songs and the meaning. That's one of the reasons i love Leona - also cos of the fact i love the vocals. And only because she's not a naturally bubbly person, it doesn't mean she doesn't have a personality. I think she lacked a hell of a lot of confidence when she won XF but 3 years later, she is far more confident and comfortable and comes out of herself a lot more.

Well i think artists should stick to what they are good at in general with a few experimental tracks which are out of their comfort zone. And Leona has certainly done that on Echo :D I Got You is relatively up-tempo, OMH is very electro-pop and up-tempo and there are few power rocky ballads like Brave on there. It would be crazy for Leona to not stick to her USP/niche - her voice and ballads.

 

I would go as far to say Echo is the album of the year but that is of course imo.

I think that first of all artists should record these songs that which will be liked to the people, and judging by the sales of her single and album people don't like it so much as the first album.
