December 22, 200915 yr Saturdays - Work I disagree on. It did manage 90k, which surely is pretty respectable for a song that missed the top 20 and was the fifth single from an album that sold in good numbers. Shark In the Water. Radio 1 are 100% to blame for that imo, it was even top 20 on I-Tunes at one point. "Just Can't Get Enough" wasn't on the original version of the album (such as the copy I've got, which was a present last Christmas), so in a way, "Work" is only the 4th single from the [original] album. It all depends on which version you have, I guess. But to be honest, it was there 5th single overall, and I'd say it's one of the weaker songs on the albums, not what I'd have picked. "Shark In The Water" is my favourite song of 2009, don't know why they didn't play-list it. Edited December 22, 200915 yr by bigzarafan

Lady Gaga - LoveGame Valeriya - Back to Love Velvet - Chemistry Annie - Antonio Stunt - I'll be there Florence and the machine - Drumming Song ALL of these criminally ignored due to radio stations being snobbish playing the spawn of Simon Cowell, all these stupid rappers like Kayne West and Jay-Z and with some acts hyping their biggest hits instead of the better songs due to the thick public.
December 22, 200915 yr In addition to many of the songs that have been mentioned before: T.I. ft. Mary J. Blige - Remember Me When I first heard it, and saw the video, I thought it'd be huge. It peaked at #34. I know he was in jail at the time and the song was basically saying "don't forget me while I'm locked up", but I thought it'd be playlisted on Radio 1 and go top 10 nonetheless.
December 22, 200915 yr Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll I'm not saying it didn't criminally flop (which it did) but this failed to reach the top 100 on initial release, but last week it debuted at #98... I cannot figure out what could have possibly propelled it into the chart, or indeed why it didn't chart initially...
December 22, 200915 yr i don't know if somebody already mentioned but Empire of the Sun - Wlaking on a Dream was absolutely undeserved flop after decent succes of previous single

December 22, 200915 yr Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me (30) If this hasn't already been said, I'd also like to point out that the only reason it peaked as high as #30 is because of the whole Kanye West VMAs thing.

December 22, 200915 yr If this hasn't already been said, I'd also like to point out that the only reason it peaked as high as #30 is because of the whole Kanye West VMAs thing. Yeh, I know that :kink:. Should've got Top 10 :(.
December 22, 200915 yr It was being used on a Channel 4 advert, to advertise Hollyoaks. Aha, all is clear now.
December 22, 200915 yr Yeh, I know that :kink:. Should've got Top 10 :(. "Love Story" got to #2, so I have no idea why Radio 1 haven't play-listed her since then. I love Taylor Swift
December 23, 200915 yr Mikas Rain - Although Mika on the whole has flopped this year. It's a shame  The Killers 'Dustland Fairytale'. One of my absolute favourite songs of the year and deserved so much better, although they wern't actively promoting it so i'm not too fussed. At least it's not because nobody likes them
December 23, 200915 yr Daughtry's brilliant original of What About Now only briefly charting while the rubbish Westlife version stayed on the charts.
