He has dropped the Final Fantasy moniker for his name due to legal issues. Good decision imo anyway.

My most anticipated 2010 release. <3 I adore this man beyond words. His music holds a special place in my heart.

The first (and likely only) single.

Never heard of him before. But this song 'Lewis Takes Action' is seriously EPIC. :o

If you think that is epic, listen to This Lamb Sells Condos, Song Song Song, Many Lives for 49 MP, or his cover of Joanna Newsom's Peach, Plum, Pear.

He's also insanely good live:

His album "He Poos Clouds" was my 13th best of the decade. Back when he was still going by Final Fantasy. He's done string work for a lot of famous bands like Arcade Fire, The Mountain Goats, Grizzly Bear, Stars, The Last Shadow Puppets, Holy Fuck, Fucked Up, The Hidden Cameras, and Death From Above 1979.

A lot of his songs are about video games and falling in love with virtual characters / the division between reality and fiction. Also very queercentric. God I could go on. He's so good.

Wow, finally got round to listening to it on We7 after Ben reminded me to do so, like an introverted version of Rufus Wainwright with echoes of XTC's 1999 Apple Venus Vol 1 critically acclaimed orchestral folk album thrown in.

Obviously I was aware of his trademark string arrangements and whilst vocally he is not the strongest the songs are very good.

Fave track: E Is For Estranged

But the album works as a whole, easily a 9/10 album.

E Is For Estranged is indeed the best track on the album. #2 album of the year sao far for me.

Heard the previous album of Owen and it is stunning as well if not better than Heartland :o
