Really? :o I usually hate big blockbusters but have seen Avatar 3 times now and simply love it :wub:

 

I am not pleased The Hurt Locker beat it at the Baftas - it is a very good film but nowhere near good enough to warrent best film - there were half a dozen better films in 2009 than the Hurt Locker imo. Avatar will have a massive influence on the future of cinema and will quite possibly revolutionize film and how they are made. The Hurt Locker was a very solid war film but not up there with the classics. My faves of 2009 were Moon, The Road, Inglorious bast*rds - oh and I loved Public Enemies as well which has been ignored in everything. :rolleyes:

 

The Loveley Bones seems to be getting very mixed reviews - such a shame - I thought that was going to win a load of awards. Apparently it is very messy. :(

One of my friends. She fancied a night at the pictures because she was bored. And chose Wolfie. :lol:

The Avatar storyline was rubbish. And the trees were less wooden than the actors :lol:

 

 

But yes, the 3D special effects were fantastic :w00t:

I used to love those books with pictures that were all grey but when you painted them with your brush dipped in water all the colours came out. You know the ones I mean? :unsure:
