No No No.

I'm not going to be laying the bloomin things myself

I'm buying a small garden shed to store the overflow from my large garden shed...

Anyway, the small shed is going to be situated on an area of grass. So it's going to need a firm slab base. My question is this -_-

Do the slabs just get laid on the grass as it is and then the shed put on top? Or does the slab layer person need to dig down and remove a layer of grass and soil before laying the slabs?

I only ask because in that area I have my pet graveyard. If he starts digging he's likely to find the remains of 2 cats, 3 rabbits, 2 budgies, a hamster and assorted sparrows, goldfish etc

It may be necessary to dig down about 6 inches, then a layer of crushed stone for a solid base for the slabs, Jups....

Lazy you should do it yourself :P

Ah as for the base, I guess it'd depend on the size of the shed. Anything big would need the ground dug up a bit for a firm base. Something small would just need a quick base ontop of the grass.

But if you are going to have the ground dug up a bit, maybe better just to have a flat concrete base instead of slabs.

Jups was worried about laying slabs,

In a yard where critters go fo right good gabs,

Her present shed's crowded,

Another's needed for her new doodad,

She only can hope the workmen aren't all flabs.....

-_-

It's only a small 6ft by 4ft shed. So I'm guessing my animal graveyard will be ok. I'm sure I buried them deeper than 6 inches. Maybe not the sparrows and goldfish though.

Evening btw. Sorry for my lateness. I've been spring cleaning the spare bedroom.

I've noticed today that my garden is a bit sloping. I fear my new shed will look like the Leaning Tower of Pisa <_<
Maybe you could anchor the slabs to the ground, and then, the shed to the slabs??

Dunno

A joiner friend of mine is going to pop in to inspect it. Not sure what I need to do with regards to a base yet.
