Seeing a few adverts saying "Coming Soon" and stuff, and I am MEGA pumped for this!

Easily my favourite show of last year (Along with 'Harper's Island' - God BBC3 are amazing when they want to be!)

After months of writing, shooting and editing, the first three episodes of Being Human Series Two are nearly complete. We dragged Director Colin Teague out of the edit to tell us what to expect... and it sounds like it's going to be much darker.

Watch the video at the link below.

! Hopefully it IS alot darker! The casting is brilliant and Lenora Crichlow (plays the ghost, Annie) would be perfect for a Dr Who assistant or something!

AAAAAAHHHHH! EXCITING TIMES PEOPLE! EXCITING TIMES! :w00t:

TOOOONIGHT!

It clashes with Wild At Heart, Celeb Big Brother and Dancing On Ice - various programmes that various members of my family will be wanting to see!

Have to catch up on iPlayer in a bit as I was doing the Buzzjack Member Awards :( Heard some good things about it though! Can't wait to watch it! AAHHH!

I've seen a lot of underwhelmed responses to the first episode and I have to agree. It was a total mess. George in particular was hellish to watch, over-acting constantly and just being a thoroughly unlikeable character. Admittedly I was tired but I have no idea whatsoever how the girl he was tapping fits into the story. The only really good things about the episode were Mitchell's new love interest and of course Annie who stole every single scene (but wasn't in anywhere near enough of them)...

A nice enough start :) Certainly not as strong as I would have liked it to have been but it was a nice way to open to the new series I suppose.

Annie certainly saved the episode. She is frankly adoeable and gave the episode its only really comedy moments.

Not liking new George. He was much better in 'gay ninja' mode in series 1.

Got decent viewing figures aswell. 1.4 million :)

This is a good show let down by one thing - George...... OR should I say Russell Tovey... Whoever the fukk told him he could actually do serious acting was frankly lying to him (that would be his Agent probably..), go back to comedy mate, your constant mugging and over-acting is seriously getting on my tits... Luckily, Annie and Mitchell are around to make up for Tovey and his bad acting....

Story-wise, a lot darker, the new Vampire character Daisy seems very interesting indeed (I could live without Ivan though...). Dunno why people are claiming the plot is hard to follow or messy, seemed perfectly logical to me.... I quite like the idea of this "Inquisitor" character who is probably gonna make George, Annie and Mitchell's lives hell....

All in all, Tovey aside, a solid beginning to the new series....

Admittedly I was tired but I have no idea whatsoever how the girl he was tapping fits into the story.

It's pretty obvious to me that she's there to lure them all (George in particular) to the "Dark Side" mate..... Although, she herself is obviously conflicted in that scene with her daughter in the hospital....

Perhaps I just assumed that she was there for a different reason given that in the last series (the frankly superior) Lauren was there for exactly the same purpose. It just seems like a re-hash of storylines but not executed so well. Why would George cheat on Nina? He adores her. It was absurd. Both George and the storylines revolving around him let the episode down big time. They need to utilise Annie more because she's by far the best thing about the show.

Just started watching the first series, I had heard of this show vaguely a while back but it didn't come up on my radar until this post. It's very good so far

Now I'm going to run off before I see any spoilers here :P

Edit: Just saw the first episode of the second series, I really wanted to give George a dig when he was messing around with that Daisy girl, Poor Nina!

I think Nina is a really good character, I think she could become one of my favourites.....no doubt she'll probably get abducted by those scientists and have experiments put her like that last guy and die.....they always seem to kill off characters I really like in those shows. :( Like Anna Lucia in lost :(

also for the first two episodes of the first series I thought Annie was kinda dull, it just seemed like all they showed was george and mitchell and she was just stuck in the house while all the action was happening....which is a shame since when she started appearing more (and outside the house) after the third/fourth episode she was really good

Just started watching it. The show is great! The only letdown is the never-ending vampire theme. I despise them already. They are everywhere. :(

Was an ok opener. Could have been a really great 45 min ep.

Agree with most re: Annie being the star of the show. Although Nina shone in that ep for me too. Big Sinead Kennan fan :)

I didn't find Annie to be the star of the show at all.

In fact for me out of the three she's probably the one that comes across the least during the show......

She doesn't get as much airtime as the other two guys imo.....I like what I see of her but the only storyline she's really had going for here was around Eoin (and getting a job if you could call that a storyline) and the other two guys had about 4-5 storylines each...

I kinda see George as being the star if the show....the show seems to focus on him an awful lot I think......Mitchell a bit less and Annie even less.

Although if you're talking about favourites being stars of shows.....I really can't pick between George, Annie and Nina. Really like all Three of them :)

I was wondering. If Annie continues to feature less than the other two in the series, would that have anything to do with the fact Lenora Crichlow is also starring in Material Girl on BBC1?
The advert for the second episode looks much more Annie-centric thankfully...

Todays episode was BRILLIANT!

So gripping and tense! Poor Annie. :( I really felt for her when she was struggling to not go through the door!

Oh that was devastating for Annie :( A definate improvement on the first episode for me. Mostly for the more Annie centric storybase instead of last week's more Nina/George based.
