The problem with Ben, Sam and Tracy is that, hilarious as it would be, it would involve having to include them in the live episode, which could potentially be disastrous.

I think tracy would be fine for the live episode, ben and sam wouldnt, im sure this storyline will really lead from who the bosses at eastenders think will handle the lve episode best, so for all the actrs who regularly fluff their lines wont be the killer ie daniella westbrook.

I've changed my mind. It was Peggy. Think about it, from what we could tell, after her talk with Archie she left the Vic without the divorce papers. When we saw her back at Dot's house she had the papers. She didnt go straight back to Dot's either because in the minutes leading up to the murder, she was seen near the big Christmas tree, glaring at the Vic.

If she went in to the Vic to get the papers, she would have been in there the same time as the murder, so presumably she killed him. My theory on the reason she was so devastated when Phil told her, he was dead is because she'd only thought she'd attacked him and had runned straight out before seeing the state he was in. Plus Barbara is leaving soon....

The question is would Tracy be allowed to speak in the live episode, or would she simply respond to every question and accusation with silence and a blank face?

They probably just used an extra/stuntman or whatever. Larry Lamb (Archie) said in an interview that the actor who plays the murderer doesnt know its them yet.

So it wa sprob just a prosudction crew member, i dont why my gut insticnct is jack, i really think it wont be sam.
