Posted December 28, 200915 yr What do you think of the Sugababes new line-up? Love it, they seem so happy 43% I'll decide when I hear the new album 26% I'm confused...There's another new band member?! 31% SUGABABES’ Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah have EXCLUSIVELY revealed they quit the band and Keisha Buchanan was never given the boot. Speaking exclusively to OK.co.uk, Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range rubbished Keisha Buchanan’s claims that she was forced out of the Sugababes, exposing that they risked their careers by walking out. Heidi says: ”It’s flattering that people are so interested [in the split], but it’s hard when things that aren’t true are written about you. “When the whole line-up changed, it was me and Amelle that left the band – Keisha was never kicked out. “We risked our careers. We [just] couldn’t take the situation anymore.” Amelle adds: “But then everyone assumed we kicked her out!” And Heidi, who has been with the Sugababes for eight years, says she still stands by her decision – despite the backlash from the tabloids and Keisha on another line-up change. “We know we’ve made the right decision,” she insists. “You get to a point in life when you just make some life decisions and a line was crossed. So we walked out.” The 26-year-old continues: “[We said] ‘I’m not going to take this anymore,’ so there’s nothing wrong in doing that. “I know as a person morally, we’ve done the right thing.” And Heidi says when she and Amelle walked – their label followed them, deserting Keisha. “Our record company stood by us, [and so did] all the people we work with. They were going through everything we were going through anyway and they supported us,” Heidi remarks. Amelle chips in: “And that speaks volumes.” But admirably, the girls - who are now joined by Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen – say they haven’t spoken out sooner because they wanted to respect their former ‘babe. Heidi explains: “We didn’t come out and say the details of what had happened and what went on because we wanted to be respectful of the good times that we did have together. “But because we haven’t, people have [rightly] come to their own conclusions.” Newcomer Jade, who joined the band in September, said despite not being part of the split – she can’t help but feel frustrated by it. “It’s just really hard. I get quite angry sometimes because from what I know of the girls, [the rumours] are untrue,” she confesses. “A lot of people warned me to be careful [about joining the band] saying ‘they’ll bully you’ and I was like do you know them?! “At the end of the day, it’s not my story to tell. But I feel frustrated for them because it’s a catch-22 situation: if you say nothing, people come to their own conclusions, but if you do then it’s like papers start writing stuff and it becomes a vicious circle.” While Keisha vented her thoughts on the split on her Twitter page, the girls refuse to take part in a slanging match. “We never went on Twitter and read [former Sugababe Mutya Buena and Keisha’s] comments,” says Amelle. “We actually went off it. We’ve [only] just started to go back on it now. “But we just talk about normal things because it’s over and done now. There are too many things we’re happy about.” Amelle, who has been part of the Sugababes for four-and-a-half-years, also debunked other Sugababes myths – and the real story behind all the splits. “It’s all been different circumstances, I think,” she reflects. “When Siobhan left – I wasn’t in the band then – Mutya said it was about her baby, but she just wasn’t enjoying her job and wanted something different. “The Keisha situation is different to anything we’ve ever been in ourselves, so I dunno…It was quite a hard time.” But the 24-year-old reassured fans there will be no more rifts in the future, as it’s impossible thanks to the new line-up. “I don’t think it’s in any of our characters that it could ever get to that point,” she smiles. “The Sugababes, who plan to crack America next year, say they’re back with bang – and they couldn’t be happier. Amelle gushes: “It’s just different to come into work at the moment. “When you’re not enjoying it – like in any job – if you’re in a situation where you can’t speak it’s just quite hard. It takes its toll on you after a long time. “[but not] It’s just really nice. Everyone’s happy, everyone gets on with everything, we’ve all got the same dream aspirations and we have a laugh – it’s the best job in the world. “We’re really happy together and we’re just having a great time.” Glad to hear it, Sugababes. http://ok.co.uk/celebnews/view/17123/Sugab...ote:already#box WOW! December 28, 200915 yr They should either reveal exactly what Keisha supposedly did (because they STILL said nothing new here), or just shut the hell up. Seriously, it's time to move on.
December 28, 200915 yr Author They should either reveal exactly what Keisha supposedly did (because they STILL said nothing new here), or just shut the hell up. Seriously, it's time to move on. Seriously! Even I, who LOVE to hold on to grudges and hate on Beige and Amelle, am over the whole thing. I've accepted Jade as the new face of the sugababes and am actually looking forward to their new material. I still feel bad for Keisha, but judging by her twitter even she's over it. What I don't get is they keep saying they wont give any details out of respect for K and her role in the group but keep repeating comments like "we just couldn't take it any more" and "it was impossible to keep working with her" which aren't much nicer than any details would be. IDK what's up with their PR, they should have had them done 1 or 2 exclusive interviews in which they said whatever story they agreed on true or false and never bring it up again. If asked about it they should just say we've already addressed that and we are looking to the future not the passed. The faster this thing blows over the easier it'll be for them to create an identity without the shadow of Kiesha looming over them. None of their interviews have shown them in a good light and I feel as if this is all just gonna blow up in their faces. I feel bad for Jade who really hasn't done anything wrong and has the talent to carry the group to success the other two seem to be holding her down.

I actually agree with the majority of what uve said! They should have done an exclusive interview after the line up change then all the rumours etc would have been nipped in the bud there and then! They could have done it in a way that was still respectful to Keisha as well! This whole thing has been too dragged out! But you cant really blame the girls i suppose...maybe the PR people like the publicity lol
December 28, 200915 yr omg keisha is old leave her to go solo!!! she aint a suga no more so leave it wiv her
December 28, 200915 yr They are always gonna be asked about it, it was always being asked why Mutya left so its bound to carry on for a while yet.
December 28, 200915 yr Yes, they're always going to be asked. However, if they aren't going to say EXACTLY what happened then they should say nothing at all because interviews like this are boring as hell and pointless.
December 28, 200915 yr If Heidi & Amell quit Sugababes, so why do THEY are called that name now and not Keisha? So, who has quit then? ;)
