September 16, 201113 yr Never realised The Loving Kind was an airplay #1 :o :wub: Imagine if this was the sales chart though, they probably would have been dropped after Long Hot Summer, but then again they would have 3 #1s...
September 17, 201113 yr Wow, thanks for that! The lack of support for them in the early days is crazy - I can't believe Love Machine barely scraped the Top 40, it's so strange given it's so well-liked!
October 9, 201113 yr Well to be fair 'Sexy!' was never going to be a monster radio hit. Could you imagine how the public would react to hearing DID YOU TELL HIM NO NO NO every five minutes? There probably would have been riots.

October 22, 201113 yr Interestingly One True Voice's 'Sacred Trust' started off better on radio than 'Sound Of The Underground' - it entered at #47 compared to Girls Aloud at #65! Lol. Girls Aloud leapfrogged over them in the second week. One True Voice run was 47-43-21-21-42-29-36-OUT. Radio were rather late with 'Jump', what with it only entering the radio chart the day before its release. :o Meanwhile Westlife's 'Mandy' was already in the Airplay Top 20.
