God, this thread always makes me realise how much I hate humanity :(

Humanity or humankind? :(

I don't really get what's wrong with the discussion. The F/B campaigns are easily connected to the iTunes Chart. It's going to make it interesting for someone and irritating for others.
I always think this thread is quite entertaining to read on a boring Sunday afternoon when I should be doing work tbh. :D

It's not the discussion, it's the sheer childishness of everyone.

They mean the same thing.

Oh, i thought you meant a 'quality of being human'. Me=Russian etc :(

Riverside is nothing special tbh, just a track to shake your bum, that's all. Take That should be there instead frankly. :(

'Humanity' can mean that too.

Can I just say this thread is frankly like a mental asylum.

Any Girls Aloud fan that thinks this campaign will work is either mental, deluded or a horse. More to the point its sad and embarrassing. It's times like this I hope Girls Aloud never make another album because of how deluded some of their fans are. Thanku.

It *definitely* has *no* chance unless they set a date on it. But I think you'd have to be quite a big Girls Aloud fan in the first place to care about their top 10 run!! How are they going to make anyone else care?

Edit: they have set a date now.

I find comments like these annoying. I'm certainly not deluded, mental or a horse. Instead i'm a sane human being who happens to be open-minded. I, unlike others on here, can see the possibility of this working. It's only the start of January (where sales are quite low, am i right?) and there are over 3,500 members on the campaign already. It goes into action on the 31st January where i'm sure there will be far more members. It only needs around 20k to be top 10. It's by no means a certainty that it will work but there is a possibility. And fyi, i am not their biggest fan. I'm just a 'casual' fan who happens to think Untouchable deserves a top 10 placing. I'm sure there were people on here who laughed at the thought of RATM beating Joe. Look what happened -_-

And FAI (for anyone's information), this is not a rant it's an opinion/view.

Looking at the pop bars I'd say Iyaz are gaining on Sidney although there are multiple versions of Sidney plus it has a physical release. I think it could be quite close and I can actually see Iyaz climbing to #1 in the next week or so.

They're aiming for early February and no that's not really true any more

Last year it took around 22k to hit #10

People are saying Ego will never go top 10 but i'm starting to think Broken Heels won't as well. It seems whenever it gets close to the #10 position, new songs/has-beens push it down :( Hopefully physical sales will help it out cos there is no promo that i know of.

Meh same thing. 22,000 members is possible and that was my point all along :D

It'd need nearer 122,000 members to work.

The RATM campaign had almost a million members. Yet it only sold just over 500,000 and there seemed to be a hell of a lot of people who bought the track twice, the amount of members who actually downloaded it was about 1/3.

"2 ANY POP BARS COMING. They will come when a compiler is available to post, if you are really that desperate for them add them yourself, its not a life or death situation, otherwise be patient."

Thank you

The Times reported that the OCC discounted tens of thousands of multiple-purchase downloads, so the actual number downloaded was much higher than 500,000. Jon says it was 'alleged' (I don't know by whom) to be 'well over a million'.
