Yes thats right, TMF is launching an "updated" version of MTV's classic interactive music show MTV Select.

 

TMF Live, fronted by Kate Edmondson (The Loaded Hour) and Carole Machin (TMF News), will air on the channel every weekday from 4-5pm beginning July 24.

 

True to the original format, the new show will take video requests from viewers and celebrities alike, as well as featuring entertainment news and interviews.

 

MTV Select ran on MTV between 1996 and 2002, launching the careers of Cat Deely, Ben Shepard, Russel Brand, Donna Air, Richard Blackwood and June Sarpong.

Thats right - MTV UK have seen sense and put the show that launched the careers of Cat Deely, June Sarpong and Edith Bowman back on our screens. I just saw an advert for it! Could'nt quite believe it!

 

A guy is presenting it (dont know who) and its on every week night, MTV UK, 5.00pm.

well on tmf (or the music factory as teletext still call it :lol:) 4pm is tmf live today. followed by reality tv/comedy shows till midnight (apart from midweeks at 7). the loaded hour has been dropped replaced by yet another f--in phone-in quiz show. :cry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

MTV selct and TMF live started last week.

 

Select is good and the guy presenting is quite good and is also funny (he has parkinson's too which is interesting). I didn't really enjoy TMF live when I watched the first one last week - the two female presenters are quite week. One of them I've seen on one of those quiz channels before and she is just as irritating on TMF!

Just caught MTV Select. Although i think the guy is doing a good job and that its great that he's got the job dealing with parkinsons - i just feel he needs a partner to keep him focused, on track and maybe to explain the comps etc. He seems to veer off whilst talking to callers (although convo is usually interesting/funny).

Donna Air. she appears in Hello a lot, think shes a lady now, married to a zillionaire. doesnt need to work ever again.
