The proposal comes just weeks after the Angels singer asked the 30-year-old to marry him live on an Australian radio station. Robbie, 35, was speaking on the Australian radio station 2DayFM when he asked his US actress girlfriend to become his wife. However, soon after his spokesperson dismissed the claims as a joke. To add to the confusion, Robbie's mother Jan confirmed the engagement. She told BBC Radio 5 Live: 'Yes, you caught me shopping. I'm looking for a card... a celebration card.' Just as I was getting all excited about the big bash, PETE CONWAY told me Robbie hasn't made ANY plans for his nuptials (meaning it's probably years away). "He isn't planning a wedding," Pete said in an eXSclusive interview. "He hasn't sat down and worked out a date. He will do it himself when he wants to. He's not taking any pressure from anyone. "There's no hurry. There is no date, Rob's not rushing into this. It's not by any means worked out. It's if, not when, with this wedding." Hmm, not sure how Ayda will feel about this. But one thing Robbie, who's recording with Take That, has got in shape is HIMSELF. And ex-pub entertainer Pete puts his new slimline look down to his love of football. "He's in very good physical shape again. He looks great," he said. "He has people over to the house to play football. He's been playing a lot recently and he will look fantastic for the wedding whenever he sets a date." But Robbie might stop short of quitting smoking too.
