Posted January 5, 201015 yr Leona Lewis to team up with Robbie Williams to record two tracks - and Kings of Leon By 3am's Clemmie Moodie and Danielle Lawler 5/01/2010 The Mirror We always knew Leona Lewis was the hottest property around – and now it looks like Robbie Williams thinks She’s The One too... The X Factor winner is teaming up with the Robster in the studio next week to record two tracks. They are for a mooted re-release of Echo later this year, following the box office success of Avatar – which featured Leona’s dulcet tones. And her mentor Simon Cowell – desperate to get Robbie in as a fifth X Factor judge – has even suggested the Angels star join Leona on stage for two dates on her arena tour this summer. But as if that wasn’t enough, Leona has also been in touch with Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill about a one-off track. We’re told: “Leona is incredibly proactive. She knows exactly what she wants and where she's heading and is thrilled with these developments.
January 5, 201015 yr Author Oh dear....I hope this is not true. Id rather have Rob duet with 50 Cent than have to endure endless whailing during the track :P They are not suited whatsoever and I dont see it as being a good idea. Mind you, I can see why Simon is so desperate for this to happen. Her album is performing very poorly compared to her debut, hence the deleux edition so soon. It is only 31 in the UK and 127th in the US now. A major dissapointment to say the least. I wouldve thought Simon wouldve tried to get Justin Timberlake in order to help it in the US. If it is true I hope it doesnt get a single release
January 5, 201015 yr I think they actually make a very good combination, but 2 Robbie's tracks on Leona's album while he has his own one out and the 3rd single coming may be a little harmful for his album sales... If this is true they must have paid him A LOT to do that. (Simon has been kind of 'flirting' with him for a long time, he probably wants to sign him up as well) One song would be enough, 2 is too much and I'd rather have it on Rob's album. A such colaboration is going to be MASSIVE. Nothing official yet though

January 5, 201015 yr Why????????????????????????????????????????? :( :( :( :( :( It'll be a duet with Subo next
January 5, 201015 yr lol this sounds like an absolute pile of crap! Sure, arent The Sun the ones that recently said Nadine Coyle couldnt get a record deal when infact her manager revealed that she was fought over by many different labels?? Im a massive Leona fan and think them pairing up would be a disaster. Their voices would NOT go well together to say the least
January 6, 201015 yr I don't like Leona, but I see positive moments, it will be something new from Robbie and she is known in US. But I guess their voices together will not be a good combination Edited January 6, 201015 yr by ophelia
January 6, 201015 yr I see nothing positive about it at all....then again the story is most likely a pile of codswallop anway ;)
January 6, 201015 yr Author I see nothing positive about it at all....then again the story is most likely a pile of codswallop anway ;) Oh I dont know Tess, here is a pic of them together on stage. Id imagine they would have great chemistry :smoke: :P http://www.hellomagazine.com/imagenes/news-in-pics/2010/01/05/robbie-leona.jpg

January 6, 201015 yr I suspect they have much in common personality wise. Don't you all agree? :P
January 6, 201015 yr Well the other part of the scoop has proved to be a load of twaddle anyway http://www.nme.com/news/kings-of-leon/49107 Kings Of Leon: 'We're not recording with Leona Lewis' Nathan Followill denies reports of collaboration with former 'X Factor' winner Kings Of Leon have denied that they are set to record with Leona Lewis, despite some reports alluding to a possible collaboration. It was claimed that the Followill clan were going to join the former X Factor winner in the studio because they were "big fans" of the singer. It was also claimed that Lewis will be working with Robbie Williams. However, drummer Nathan Followill has denied the claim. "Contrary to reports out there Kings Of Leon are not writing or recording with Leona Lewis," he wrote this afternoon (January 6) on Twitter. "No offense to her." The band are currently taking time off after touring extensively last year.
January 6, 201015 yr I think Leona could teach him a thing or two about singing and he could teach her a thing or two about stage presence. Other than that I think its a perfect coupling. Two middle-of-the-road, ballad bound acts. Simples! And it is the perfect way to crack Rob in the States - he is never going to do it alone. And if this fails ... maybe bring Subo in and have a threesome? No? Norma Edited January 6, 201015 yr by Norma_Snockers

Yes.....I remember Take That already did their ' cat wailing' with Leona ...so no we do not want another eposide like that, thanks for the warning Norma ;) I even found a little reminder for you  1AfZLCjB5eU Edited January 7, 201015 yr by staralliance

And if this fails ... maybe bring Subo in and have a threesome? No? Norma  Hate to break it to you Norma but Leona won't be helping anyone break the US at the rate her album is sinking. At #127, it is her I am afriad who needs to be working on the US, or she will become a one album wonder. To think Rob's 3 US release sold over a million copies, Leona will be lucky to break 200K at this rate, despite high profile promo. I mean her album is even doing worse than TT's last album internationally :o Simon must be fuming, that on top of the fact that Westlife's new album isnt doing great either (being outsold by your very own TT's Live album, which I am sure you are pleased with), not to mention Joe not getting to Xmas #1  Bravo though on your comment about Rob being MOR ballad bound. Classic Norma humour right there folks.
