I really don't like this.

It got to #30 on album downloads though, that surely shows the potential it has as a properly promoted single. I think it's a #1 contender but most likely #2.

I dont like it either. I think it only got sold on downloads out of curiosity.

Number 3.

I actually prefer this to Bad Romance....but anyway Beyonce makes this song what it is (brilliant)
You should have done a poll for this thread. ;)

Anyway,

I love this song but I do love Bad Romance more though but I love every Lady Gaga song. :kink: She's truly the queen of Pop. I heard her and Beyoncé are shooting the video for this song either this week or next week. I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR THE VIDEO! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: This is Gaga's video it's surely gonna be crazy. Video Phone was such a let down (The song and video etc.) :nocheer: .

THIS SONG MUST BE ANOTHER NUMBER ONE FOR GAGA! IT JUST HAS TO BECAUSE IT'S TOO AMAZING! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I totally agree. I love Beyoncé but I hate 'Video Phone' with a passion! I'm really excited for the 'Telephone' video

Who said Beyonce always makes good videos? Have you seen Single Ladies? It's just dancing with a big arse!

That became a HUGE phenomenon, purely off the back of the video. Don't make it sound like it's rubbish.

U r so right! First time i heard beyince was releasing video phone, i thought meh as it is my least fave on her album then i heard she was releasing a remix with gaga! I was sooo excited... til i heard it! I mean, it's good, but thats it, it's not up 2 the standard of pokerface, single ladies, ect

So it's HUGE. Doesn't mean it wasn't rubbish.

Dancing with a white background has been around since the 80s.

But it's widely regarded as a fantastic video, and it wouldn't've become a phenomenon if it wasn't good. You might not like the video, but a lot of people do.

Do you never question what is widely regarded?

It's a good video. But not exactly a groundbreaking one - like some people - including Kanye West - seem to think. If someone can explain to me what exactly it is that makes it a phenomenon I am willing to learn.

The masses of versions that have been made on YouTube, the countless musical icons, and performers that love the video and say it's fantastic. These kinda show it's a phenomenon

I'm not disputing that is a phenomenon. That is clear. What I am asking you do is tell me why the video is worthy of such an acolade.

You're not telling me what it is about the performance, the dancing, the lighting, the special effects, anything got to do with the production of the video that explain why it's great. You're expecting me to understand it's good because other people say so? Be they famous or not.

It has all been done before.

The simplicity of the video, and the dance routine itself is what makes it worth such acolade. And no, I was just saying that musicl legends have said that it's good, it must mean something.

I see. Well as I pointed out before, dancing in a white room has been happening in videos since the 80s.

im pretty sure the videos already on mtv or am i thinking of a different song?

You're thinking of 'Video Phone'. The video for 'Telephone' hasn't been filmed yet.

And Tony I know it has, but the specific dance routine hasn't. I think it is mainly that which has made it so huge.

^^i agree with tony when i saw the video i thought it was rubbish as well - couldnt understand the big deal with it - but i suppose its beyonce, one of the most beautiful woman in the world so if its her in the video it will get played loads and chart highly!!that said i never particularly liked single ladies as a song either - it must be a girl thing?the best track from her last album imo was sweet dreams by a mile!!
The person who put down the 'Single Ladies' video just doesn't like Kanye :P - the actual song - 'Single Ladies' - wouldn't have gone Top 20 in the US without that video... but it went to #1.
I like Kanye West. He's a lunatic and we need more of those in music. He doesn't do himself any favours sometimes though.
